Great size rooms, super spacious and very soft comfortable beds but they could use refreshed. Our room had a stale smell when we entered it. The location gave great access to sites. Bell service and housekeeping were great!

BUG BITES — extremely disappointing stay. During my stay, I woke up with new insect bites almost every morning after sleeping in the bed, eventually totaling more than 10 bites. Several were very itchy, swollen, and visibly irritated. I reported the issue to the front desk, and multiple staff members personally saw how severe the bites were, yet the hotel still refused to provide any compensation whatsoever. We also had concerns about the bathroom ventilation and overall room conditions. After showering, both my partner and I experienced persistent runny noses and watery eyes for hours, which made us concerned about the air quality and possible moisture/mold issues. The room itself also felt extremely old and poorly maintained. There was a thick, visible layer of dust on the furniture, and the overall condition was nowhere near what I would expect from a hotel advertised as 4-star. What disappointed me most was not just the condition of the room, but how the situation was handled. Waking up repeatedly with new bites was stressful enough, and having the hotel acknowledge the problem in person but offer no meaningful resolution made the experience even worse. This significantly affected what was supposed to be an enjoyable trip. Based on the cleanliness, maintenance, and response to our complaints, I would not recommend staying here.

Old prestigious hotel, but the emphasis is on old. Definitely due for a refresh. The front desk team tried their best to make it a better stay but the hotel, despite being really big, is limited on options. Also have to say the service is quite slow. Good luck asking for anything

I stayed here for a business conference and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and a great venue for conferences. Although the facilities are a bit dated, they are well maintained. I also appreciated that the hotel is very accessible and accommodating for guests with mobility needs. One highlight was the food. The hotel chef did an excellent job for Asian Cuisine, and every meal we had during the conference was delicious. We also had dinner and drinks at Edgar Bar & Kitchen, and the food was very good. The front desk staff could have been more welcoming during my stay, but the housekeeper on my floor was wonderful. She was warm, friendly, and always greeted us with a smile. She was the only staff member who consistently made us feel genuinely welcomed, and I really appreciated her kindness. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but I hope the front desk service can become more welcoming and attentive in the future.

Great Stay/Hotel I loved my stay at The Mayflower Hotel. The location was great, with many restaurants, bars, and attractions within walking distance, which made exploring Washington, DC very convenient. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help whenever we had questions. My wife and I stayed for 5 days while attending the UFC Freedom 250 Fan Fest, and choosing this hotel was one of the best decisions we made for the trip. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. One thing we especially appreciated was how cool and comfortable the hotel remained, providing a great escape from the hot temperatures outside. We also enjoyed dining at Edgar Bar & Kitchen. While the menu was not extensive, the food was excellent and the service was great. Overall, we had an amazing time in Washington, DC, and The Mayflower Hotel exceeded our expectations. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I had high expectations for the Mayflower Hotel given its iconic reputation and history as one of Washington, D.C.'s most prestigious hotels. Unfortunately, other than the beautiful and impressive lobby, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The guest rooms and bathrooms felt dated and in need of renovation, and the restaurant experience was underwhelming. While a few staff members were helpful, the majority of the service interactions lacked the warmth and attentiveness I would expect from a hotel of this caliber. It appears that the property has not been maintained and updated to the standard its reputation deserves. I had to call maintenance because Netflix was extremely slow and unreliable. The Mayflower's rich history and grand lobby create a wonderful first impression, but the rest of the hotel does not live up to the image or the premium price point. For what we paid, I expected a much higher level of quality, comfort, and service. While I appreciate the hotel's historic significance, I do not feel the overall experience provided good value for the cost.

It is frustrating to spend $650 a night for such subpar standards. ?The service was underwhelming and didn't come close to justifying the price. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. I found items like a wine cork under the sofa, which made the room feel poorly maintained. ?If you are curious about the building's history, it might be worth a quick visit to look around the lobby. However, I strongly advise against staying here—your expectations will likely be shattered. There are far too many better hotels in the world that offer real, high-quality service at this price point. This was a regrettable stay.

Michael Iacone and Jahan Farhat were absolutely amazing. They took very good care of our group and made our experience incredible. "The Mayflower provided an outstanding experience. The check-in was seamless, and the staff—particularly the helpful concierge team—were attentive and provided great local tips. Our room was comfortable and clean, the dining was excellent, and having an on-site store for essentials was very convenient. I especially appreciated the effortless checkout process. I truly enjoyed my stay and plan to return next year."

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Mayflower Hotel, Autograph Collection, and I cannot say enough about the care, hospitality, and thoughtfulness shown by Shelly DiMeglio and the entire staff. This was my daughters’ first trip to Washington, D.C., and I wanted it to feel special. The Mayflower team went above and beyond to make that happen. From the communication before our stay, to the room details, to the personal touches that made my girls feel welcomed, everything was handled with genuine warmth and care. The hotel itself is beautiful, historic, and full of character. Staying at The Mayflower does not feel like staying at just another hotel. It feels like being part of Washington, D.C.’s history. That made the trip even more memorable for my family. What stood out most, though, was the people. The staff made us feel valued, cared for, and truly at home. Their kindness and attention to detail helped turn a family trip into a lasting memory for my wife, my daughters, and me. We are incredibly grateful and look forward to returning. The Mayflower will continue to be our D.C. home base.

A beautiful historic Hotel within walking distance from The White House, Capitol, And the Monument. There is major construction in front and around The White House so if you want to see it, it's best to go another time. Also within walking distance of the Milkin Center of the American Dream Museum- a new free museum which is amazing!! The hotel suite was beautiful, comfortable bed, large closet with a hotel robe. Huge TV's and a ballroom where Presidents had inaugural balls. Nixon and Truman even stayed there. Mbers of the Kennedy family even stay there when in town for events! The staff are super friendly and RAPHAEL (a doorman) was so nice and friendly! Super nice guy!! We'll definitely return there to stay again!
