Arlington Court Suites offers a spacious and generally clean experience, particularly appreciated for its convenient location near Rosslyn dining and DC attractions. However, the property shows its age with dated decor, maintenance issues, and inconsistencies in cleanliness and amenities.
I was recently a guest this week. I'll start by saying the location is good for Rosslyn dining and accessibility. However, the hotel is very outdated and needs repairs. My room didn't have a light bulb in the bathroom. There was a nail hanging out of the door, carpet was split about 5 inches in one spot, TV had issues at times, the wall by the window moved slightly, long brunette hair in the bathroom sink.... Customer service was lack luster and if you're not a choice corporate member there's no benefit staying here at all.
Had a double full size bed room and honestly I thought the accommodations were going to be the average set up. But it was not, the room had a kitchenette and small lounge area, nice sized bathroom and although the decor was more like the old world (dark woods, stripe patters on the furniture..) I loved that! The room was well maintained, clean, and I had to stay long term there was plenty of space to stretch out. Breakfast was the standard choice hotel offering, but I to agree with other reviewers, it was nice that the dining room was own its own and not in the lobby. And lastly the hotel was closed to many attractions.
Rooms are quite big by todays standards. The hotel is showing it's age though. The elevator was ancient and reminded me of Tower of Terror so that was fun. Beds were comfortable and the staff very helpful. Rooms were reasonably quiet and no guest noise but the construction nearby started early. Luckily I wasn't trying to sleep in.
The Experience was mediocre at best. The rooms were clean-ish. There was stuff on the floor, from other past guests, I guess the cleaning is not a priority. In the morning, the shower randomly ran out of water and came back later but is not acceptable in the month of February. The red flags were from the booking, the pictures were mainly renders. Nothing to do with the actual room. Looked very different, for the worse unfortunately. Quite obsolete. The TV was probably from the year I was born, so not good. The breakfast was served very early, but I decided to try it, absolutely not worth it. It was tasteless and very limited. That being said, the staff was absolutely lovely.
Check in and check out were fast and simple. The staff at the front desk were both pleasant and efficient. There is a fee to park a vehicle ($20 a night I believe) the parking lot seems small but I never had an issue finding a spot even when I returned late at night. The room was spacious and clean when I arrived. Very good location to visit DC while staying outside the city. There are also several food options only a few minutes away.
