Nestled in Georgetown, this elegant hotel receives praise for refined service, excellent dining, and a prime location, though guests occasionally note outdated room electronics and inconsistent maintenance.
I had THE BEST experience at the Rosewood! The staff was incredible, it felt like old school hospitality where people liked their jobs and were nurturing and welcoming to their guests. The food was excellent (quite expensive, but there was a brunch credit with the room rez). The room was impeccable. The location is fantastic!! Right in the heart of Georgetown, close to everything, walkable and parking easy. A few notes for the hotel: the electronics in the rooms could be upgraded someday (usb ports etc), things felt slightly outdated. And the male bartender in the evening lobby bar did not provide the same level of polite service as the rest of the staff, he was a bit rude/edgy. Other than that, the stay was perfect and I can’t wait to return! I will definitely stay with Rosewood Hotels whenever possible!
I recently stayed at the Rosewood Hotel and had a very good experience overall. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, although I found it challenging that the windows do not open. Room service was excellent, even if the food was a little heavy on pepper. Special thanks to the lady on the night shift—she did an outstanding job. Housekeeping was also very good. The terrace is beautiful, but the entrance lighting could be adjusted to better preserve the elegant atmosphere. Curtains could use an update as they block the view when closed, and when open, it can get quite windy except in summer. Reception staff could improve by greeting guests more warmly and with a smile, but the gentlemen at the door deserve a 10/10 for their kindness and availability. What I loved most is that the hotel is truly pet-friendly—10/10 for pet services and staff kindness. All my suggestions are meant as improvements; overall, this is a great hotel with excellent service.
My stay at Rosewood Washington, D.C. was exceptional from start to finish. The Front Desk team — Ajit, Ny Aina, and Daniel — provided a warm welcome and consistently excellent service throughout my visit. A special thank-you to Alex Q., Assistant Front Office Manager, for his professionalism and attention to detail. The F&B team — Zully, Madaya, and Luz — was incredibly kind, and the dining experience was consistently impressive. The Bellman/Valet staff — Endale, Zelalem, and Dawit — were efficient, helpful, and always friendly. The hotel combines elegance, comfort, and outstanding hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined and relaxing stay in the heart of Washington, D.C.
My stay was absolutely fantastic. This hotel has some of the best staff and customer service I've ever experience, and I travel around the world at top hotels monthly. My townhome was amazing and felt just like home. The cuisine is amazing, and the location as well. The gym and rooftop, and CUT Steakhouse are all pluses as well. I am already thinking about y next stay. Can't wait to be back!
I went to the rooftop bar at the Rosewood and had an amazing time with my friends! Persia was our server, and she went out of her way to make my friends and I comfortable and make sure that we had a good time. Her wine suggestions were amazing, and she also made a wonderful espresso martini. We came in on a busy night and she was so calm and attentive. I would definitely recommend to anyone in DC! The rooftop had an amazing view! I would say my only critique is there were about 50 people on the roof and only one server. Maybe they should limit occupancy on the roof or add more severs. Otherwise I loved it! And our server
The location was amazing. Room upgraded to a fantastic suite with Amex platinum with one full bath and 1/2 bath located in hallway. Bed was so comfy and luxurious shower had lots of hot water. The room was immaculate and beautifully furnished. The mahogany doors gave the room more opulence. Turn down service was outstanding. This was our first visit and we would love to arrange another stay very soon. Restaurants everywhere, shops and stores galore. They was a 50% sale in Feb. at Barbour store. You have to give it a try. Definitely a 5 star stay. Special thanks to Melissa (front desk), Desalegn ( Best doorman in DC, and Daniel (waiter). The young gentleman that initially checked me in was great, but I didn't get his name. Thank you Rosewood for a fabulous stay!
Wouldn’t say this is a 5 star hotel. For starters, if you don’t have bidets in the bathroom you’re automatically minimum 4.5 stars. I was in the rosewood suite. Women at the front desk said she doesn’t speak on rates, call American Express. The milk carton water sucks. Rooms heat was broken. The fridge had some wet sticky yellow residue inside. Not staying here again when I come back
This is an embarrassment to the Rosewood brand. The hotel is tired, outdated and the room designs are like from the 80’s. I stayed in the presidential suite and its was such a disappointment. The is hotel is not a 5 star hotel if you are looking for on in DC go to the Four Seasons.
Location was great! They offer valet which was helpful. The hotel was lovely, and the service was great. The bathroom in our king room was a bit tight but well-appointed. The bar at CUT was great for a night cap. We didn't make it to the rooftop, but it looked beautiful. I would definitely return!
I recently had the privilege of getting engaged at the Rosewood. Their entire staff were incredibly professional and helped me each step of the way. Julia and Lucci helped plan the entire ordeal with me and had many great suggestions. When we arrived at the property for the special day, they were unbelievable tentative and did a great job of communicating within their network to make sure everything was smooth and kept a secret. The rooftop is sublime! The restaurant Cut is also out of this world, with equally great service as the hotel. The rooms are spectacular and we were constantly left with sweet gifts and hand written cards. This place is as good as it gets and worth every penny!
