The Rosewood Washington, D.C. consistently receives high praise for its exceptional service, luxurious accommodations, and prime Georgetown location. Guests frequently highlight the attentive and welcoming staff, particularly at the front desk and doorman, and rave about the quality of the dining experiences. However, some reviews cite concerns regarding pricing, outdated amenities, and occasional service inconsistencies.
The hotel is lovely. The team are friendly, welcoming and so helpful. The room was well equipped and I had everything I needed for my stay. The in-house restaurant was brilliant - I had a cheeseburger which was divine.
This is a very nice hotel. The staff are friendly, the rooms are very comfortable, the location is super convenient. One complaint - the “include breakfast” package is $70 a couple. A simple breakfast with juice and coffee runs $70 a person. If we had known the prices were this high - we would have skipped the breakfast. Ended up doing breakfast both days of our stay because we paid for it. There are plenty of breakfast places in the neighborhood - this is a bit of a scam.
*Excellent service* from the front desk manager on Wednesday evening when I needed to book a last-minute room for my mother whose international flight was cancelled. The reservation wasn't appearing in the system because it was booked shortly before she was arriving, but I wanted to ensure that the confirmation had gone through and my card was on file for payment. The woman continued to check her system while my mom was en route and called me back to confirm and then again to let me know my mother had checked in and was on the way to her room. Was honestly wow-ed by that level of service ensuring that everything was booked and paid correctly and calling me back twice. It's too bad I don't travel to DC often because this would be my go-to hotel!
I liked this hotel but I loved the door man 10/10 trust me ? he deserves 5x bonus has better service than most of the concerige team people but the reason why I did 3 ?? and not 4 or 5 is because it’s next to a sketchy aleway and there was vodka seltzer at my door stairs ?? And some powder in side? Kinda werid for a rosewood but anyways great hotel amazing food ?
My original room was extremely well done. Very classicaly appointed. Dark wood and millwork throughout. Unfortunately a pipe burst in the wall and we were moved to one of the townhouses which was incredible. Great service and a great birthday celebration at Cut. I will never stay in another neighborhood in DC other than Georgetown.
Beautiful space, excellent location, but it’s the staff that sets Rosewood DC apart. Attentive, caring, responsive to needs. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Alex the manager and Des and Z at the front door really stand out.
I had THE BEST experience at the Rosewood! The staff was incredible, it felt like old school hospitality where people liked their jobs and were nurturing and welcoming to their guests. The food was excellent (quite expensive, but there was a brunch credit with the room rez). The room was impeccable. The location is fantastic!! Right in the heart of Georgetown, close to everything, walkable and parking easy. A few notes for the hotel: the electronics in the rooms could be upgraded someday (usb ports etc), things felt slightly outdated. And the male bartender in the evening lobby bar did not provide the same level of polite service as the rest of the staff, he was a bit rude/edgy. Other than that, the stay was perfect and I can’t wait to return! I will definitely stay with Rosewood Hotels whenever possible!
I recently stayed at the Rosewood Hotel and had a very good experience overall. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, although I found it challenging that the windows do not open. Room service was excellent, even if the food was a little heavy on pepper. Special thanks to the lady on the night shift—she did an outstanding job. Housekeeping was also very good. The terrace is beautiful, but the entrance lighting could be adjusted to better preserve the elegant atmosphere. Curtains could use an update as they block the view when closed, and when open, it can get quite windy except in summer. Reception staff could improve by greeting guests more warmly and with a smile, but the gentlemen at the door deserve a 10/10 for their kindness and availability. What I loved most is that the hotel is truly pet-friendly—10/10 for pet services and staff kindness. All my suggestions are meant as improvements; overall, this is a great hotel with excellent service.
My stay at Rosewood Washington, D.C. was exceptional from start to finish. The Front Desk team — Ajit, Ny Aina, and Daniel — provided a warm welcome and consistently excellent service throughout my visit. A special thank-you to Alex Q., Assistant Front Office Manager, for his professionalism and attention to detail. The F&B team — Zully, Madaya, and Luz — was incredibly kind, and the dining experience was consistently impressive. The Bellman/Valet staff — Endale, Zelalem, and Dawit — were efficient, helpful, and always friendly. The hotel combines elegance, comfort, and outstanding hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined and relaxing stay in the heart of Washington, D.C.
My stay was absolutely fantastic. This hotel has some of the best staff and customer service I've ever experience, and I travel around the world at top hotels monthly. My townhome was amazing and felt just like home. The cuisine is amazing, and the location as well. The gym and rooftop, and CUT Steakhouse are all pluses as well. I am already thinking about y next stay. Can't wait to be back!
