The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. receives generally positive reviews, particularly highlighting exceptional service and luxurious amenities, especially within the Club Lounge. However, recent feedback indicates recurring issues with inconsistent service, billing errors, and cleanliness concerns, alongside infrequent restocking issues and security incidents, leading to a mixed guest experience.

Let me start out by saying I’m a titanium member and this is not my first stay at Ritz. I was there for my podcast oddly enough upon checking in I got to my room was average for a Ritz nothing to brag about or complain about. Within 10 min I was going to change for my podcast when someone decided to not knock and just barge in. To say that was uncomfortable was an understatement. I let management know which they offered some compensation but I wasn’t interested in that, mistakes happen…. But it got a lot worse. Shortly after I realized there was no soap, no hair dryer, the mini bar wasn’t missing many things so I went down to the desk to make sure they understood that it was not me and suddenly it made sense why the maid came she hadn’t yet restocked. I was assured I wasn’t going to be charged… so I get a diet soda from the front since it wasn’t stocked and open the ice bucket what do I find a dirty bucket quarter filled with a yellow liquid and a bug… so again called the front. Just when I checked out and thought finally out of that misery nope I get my bill and guess what they charge me for the items they swore not to. I called Ashley the manager of the stocking and she tells me well I checked myself what was missing, Ashley duah of course they were missing they were missing before I got there which is why I let the front know so basically they committed fraud on my Amex charging me for someone else stuff. So far no response from any of them and I’m on my way to dispute it with my Amex and wrote corporate so beware at this place

I pride myself on good reviews. Everything about hotel was great. Guys outside work their tails off bell services fantastic. Today a 3 hr drive turned into 6/7 so I called ahead to advise my lateness and very nice person in communications confirmed reservation. When I arrived the usual smiles outside guy remembered my name but lady at front desk was less than happy to see me at 3am. She became loud, hitting counter because there was no first name on res. Manager came and clarified its diff name. Was ill and in lobby for hour. Terrible experience. All else is great. My daughter attends college nearby and stay here when I visit.

Our first time in a Club Level room. Wow. Just wow. Every single touch point on the floor was amazing. Huge amazing shoutout to the Club employees - soooo lovely. Room was ok. It was clean - linens were lovely. We did have tea to celebrate cherry blossom season - it was the day before Easter…and it was ok. I’ve had better - also I’ve had worse. First pot of tea was lukewarm and it took quite a while to find someone to mention it to. The 2nd pot of tea was lovely. Food was nice. Wish the scones were bigger and came not so long after the tray. While we were eating I noticed my husband had a weird look on his face and he said - dont look. Well - of course I did and a little mouse was running around the floor. I discretely left the room (although i wanted to yell and throw something at it) and found staff in the hall and had to mention it to them. They apologized profusely. But that was it. We both had lost our appetite a bit after that. So we just headed back up to the room. We had dinner at the club lounge and it was just lovely. And drinks and dessert there as well. So the Club was amazing. Downstairs……eeehhhh……..

The experience was perfection overall, and I wish my stay was longer. The lobby was busy upon check-in, but that was because it was Easter weekend which is not the fault of the hotel at all; check-in was smooth, speedy, and otherwise prompt. My room was absolutely perfect and was more than I could have asked for; the bed was large, the room was clean, and the bathroom was absolute perfection. The Diptyque products were a decadent touch, and both the water pressure and heat made me want to spend the entire day in the shower. I left the room for a bit in the evening to meet friends for dinner, and was pleasantly surprised by the turn-down service upon my return. I don't often see turn-down service at hotels in the States, and this was such a nice treat. Well located, well staffed with impeccable service, and incredible rooms, this is a hotel I'd without a doubt stay-in again.

Fantastic hotel with an outstanding bar. (Quadrant Bar) A limited but very tasty food selection. The bartenders are some of the best I've seen and the creative cocktails are worth the visit. They also have a wonderful selection of high-end liquors. (Plus, maybe the coolest ice cubes ever!) The hotel stay was excellent and certainly lived up to Ritz-Carlton standards. Like most Ritz-Carlton's, it was expensive but there are absolutely deals to be had. You feel as if you are treated like royalty from the moment you check into the moment you leave! Strongly Recommend!

I have Titanium Lifetime status with Marriott. I can't beleive this is a Ritz Carlton. Ive stayed at 4 different Ritz Hotels. By far this property is my least favorite. The service is not what I've come to expect. The amenities, food, and service are on par with a Holiday Inn.

Wow... Just WOW! We have stayed club level at multiple Ritz properties and this particular experience was far and away the best we've had! Miss Beri and Miss Devi weren't just kind, they were loving and went out of their way to make my daughter feel comfortable and at home in the lounge. They were exceptional and left us wanting for nothing. Please celebrate them. We paid $300 to have club access on NYE and we would do it over and over again because it's such a value for the treatment and amenities received! The presentations and food were all phenomenal in addition to having a large selection of extra desserts for the holiday! The negronis that Ms. Beri made me were as good as I've ever had! The cordial selection was also unreal with 8 different liquors available to you! And truly the desserts and decorations were out of this world and so fun! The lounge space is much nicer than some of the other properties in addition to feeling larger with a better layout! Room was also very nicely appointed, clean, and everything we needed with a luxurious bathroom. Hazel and Kenneth were also helpful and eager to please! We will absolutely be back to see Miss Beri and Miss Devi! Pro Tip- Don't miss out on the Presidential cookie presentation at 5:30pm and you can self-park in the garage using Spot Hero for 1/2 the price of valet if you are traveling light like we were. But FYI 2 levels of the garage only have stair access, so valet or drop luggage first if you are packed heavy.

It's a pretty standard Ritz with nice little DC touches. It's a little nicer and has more modern styling than the two RCs in the suburbs but is probably a little below the RC Georgetown (which is only like a mile away). I like that the art is definitely playful with more abstract paintings and photos. The free tea in the lobby and presidential cookie service is a fun touch. West End can also be a nice location - there isn't a ton immediately close by but you're easily walkable to Georgetown or Dupont. I'll give a shout out that the hotel was really sweet for our anniversary with a little treat and a bottle of prosecco waiting after turn down service. I wish there was a little more to the lobby space and am annoyed by any hotel that doesn't include in-room coffee machines (dragging myself down to the lobby first thing in the morning is not my preferred ritual). Apparently you can request a Nespresso but I didn't even notice the lack of coffee until morning, assuming it was just tucked away behind one of the closets or cupboards. These are minor complaints for a very admirable experience

This hotel is my go-to when I come to DC. As a Titanium Marriott Member, I've stayed at 30+ plus hotels this year and the majority being in DC. The Ritz on 22nd Street is top notch. I've even had the pleasure of staying at the St Regis in DC, Ritz in Georgetown and Ritz Pentagon City. This hotel is another level. Escadare and Zach in reception are what makes a hotel go from great to superb. The fitness club is the statement club in DC. If you want to feel spoiled and pampered, stay at the Ritz on 22nd.

The overall impression of the afternoon tea meets the standards of a five-star hotel. The taste is excellent, clearly the work of a high-level pastry chef. The tea is also exceptionally good. I tried two types, and both were great. However, the afternoon tea area is located on the first floor of the hotel, next to the bar, with no windows, which doesn’t feel very upscale. In addition, all the decorations in the space are artificial flowers, which also feels less refined. It meets the standards of a five-star hotel, but not the standard of The Ritz-Carlton.
