The Hampton Inn & Suites Washington DC-Navy Yard consistently receives positive feedback for its excellent location, convenient access to the Navy Yard and Metro, and helpful staff, particularly the front desk team. While cleanliness and room comfort are generally appreciated, some guests have reported issues with noise, outdated amenities, and inconsistent customer service experiences.
Andrew and Bobby, I believe their names are, were so very helpful. I'm more than grateful for the both of them. The room was wonderful and even the housekeeper that took care of my room was wonderful. The room was clean as was the hotel itself. I will say that the water pressure in the sink in the bathroom was low but it wasn’t enough to discourage us, meant to mention that to them but still good. I'm not a real big egg person so the breakfast part wasn't something I was into but the little amenities store they had was convenient and the area was great. Alot of places were within walking distance for us. Thank you so much for your hospitality!!
It was a nice experience standing there with my hole family. The housekeeping could be better and could have more lights in the rooms, they are very dark. Besides of that it was everything very good and clean. Sr. ANDREW in the reception make our standing totally better. He was very nice, polite, gave us instructions about the city and provide us everything we need in the hotel. Trully a great professional.
I come to DC often for my work in real estate and I’ve finally found my hotel for business! The customer service is top notch. The team goes out of their way to make you comfortable and everyone smiles and greets you. They actually have conversations with the guests! The rooms and neat, clean and well appointed. Ample amenity space to work and have meetings along with a bodega and breakfast in the morning. The location is excellent but the team is even better. My only regret is not remembering their names! I stayed Wed Dec 10th!
Great location convenient to the DC subway. Hilton Honors membership makes check-in, room selection, and check-out so easy, though the ease of use limits interaction with the staff at the front desk. Convenient parking across the street can be booked through third-party parking apps. And best of all: employee Ms V, who was helpful and welcoming at breakfast then recognized us again later in the day and was just the nicest, kindest person, one who radiates goodness. A great lady whose warmth made up for the impersonal nature of the Hilton Honors app.
The rooms were decent, but as a solo female, watch out for the creepy employees at the hotel, even the night security guards. The lobby definitely needs a renovation or at least change the leather chair that's already peeling off. Also, I forgot a leather jacket in my room closet, I called multiple times to check to see if anyone found it, I called for a few days in hopes of reaching someone, but I kept getting the runaround. The front desk lacks customer service. When I finally spoke to someone about never receiving a call back like I was told, the man at the front desk told me that I should call back in 45 minutes, otherwise they won't return my call. Anyway, I was finally told that they couldn't find my jacket, which I specifically hung in the closet. I forgot to check the closet before check out, and now I'm not sure what happened to it. Just a caution to not forget anything there, because you will never find it again.
Do not stay here!!! Customer service is awful! Andrew is awful and very nasty! When I arrived they said valet was booked! We parked at Whole Foods 5 blocks away. Which was an inconvenience with bags, so we had to catch uber, they do not offer shuttle service, or anything for the inconvenience. They said I had to pay for valet in advance! This was the only overnight parking in the area! Which was $74 a night. When we arrived they said it was a security deposit, and I would get it back next day when I leave. Ok so when I checked out, I asked when I would get my deposit he said 24 hours. Well that did not happen, so I contacted the hotel. Well guess what he said I had valet on my bill I said no I did not your valet was booked! Andrew stated he was going to investigate the valet company, I said when he said, when I feel like it! Please don’t stay here! Worst experience and customer service! There something shady going on at this hotel! They take your money putting other cars on your room to collect money!
I spend this labor day weekend at the hotel, and everything was great. The front desk was really helpful, let start with the valet, great job. It was a little busy outside, because there was a game, and no problem, then the front desk took care of our luggage, while we went to the game, no problem. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very, very good. Location is everything, good restaurants, walking distance to all major museums, (subway is right at the corner in case you dont want to walk), Overall great experience, will recommend to family and friends, and I be back for sure.
Great location near plenty of good restaurants and the metro station. Plenty of great morning coffee choices within 3 minute walk too. Staff was always helpful. Continental breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
About a year before I stayed at this hotel, I noticed the New York Yankees were going to be in D.C. So i got decent seats and then was on a mission to find a decent room with good rates. I ended up using all of my points. Valet parking was available and I chose to use it. Just go inside the Hampton Inn or find an attendant outside. The cost for overnight parking was close to 70 bucks. The room was pricey, but the location was super convenient. There is a rooftop bar but when we went up, it was pretty windy and elected to pass on getting some photos overlooking the stadium. EDIT: The owner responded and asked how this could be a 5 star review next time? I don't know if it can. I added a star to make it 4, because I believe I wanted to do so in the first place, just ticked the wrong one and moved on. The cost is high and that is the price people pay for convenience. Points should have a value of "one night" at ANY hotel not based on location. You donj't have to "be the same as the other places". Stand Out, give people what they deserve and earned - Just my opinion...
Room was clean and modern. Front desk staff was helpful and considerate every time I interacted with them. Location is good; plenty of food places nearby, there is a Metro station a block away so I didn't need to pay for an Uber from the airport. Do be warned that if your room faces the interior of the hotel you may be woken up by the dumpsters being emptied during the night. Also, the walls were somewhat thin so I could hear my neighbor at night. Breakfast is from 6-10.
