The hotel is located in a great area, lots of restaurants within walking distance. Metro is less than 10 min walk which gets you all over the city. it's maybe a 20 min walk to the museums if you feel like taking a stroll. One morning I walked to the White House which might have been 30 mins or so. Room was nice. If you're a light sleeper, there are sirens from emergency vehicles at night. There's a fire station nearby. The hotel staff were fantastic every time I had a question. Very knowledgeable. I only got to enjoy breakfast 1 out of our 3 days but it was nice. Would stay again.

I stayed at this hotel for one night, checking in on the evening of Saturday, July 18th 2026 and checking out on the afternoon of Sunday, July 19th 2026. I was in town for a genealogy event. Check in at this property was real easy, simple and straight to the point.....Which is sometimes NOT the case with some of these hotels. The staff member that checked me in on Saturday, July 18th 2026 was absolute and total gentleman and professional. When I showed up....He asked my name, found my reservation, then asked for my ID & a major credit card for incidentals....And in less than a MINUTE I was all checked in and off to my room on the 13th Floor! This staff member gave me a room on the top floor, which is usually something that you have to request and pay extra for, which I am grateful for him for doing that....Because he most certainly didn't have to. The Hampton Inn By Hilton Washington-Downtown-Convention Center did not disappoint and owes me nothing!!!!! The 13th Floor room that I was assigned was in immaculate condition and my stay here was beyond great!!!! I just wish that I had of booked for more than one night.....Because when I tried to re-book the next morning, all of the rooms at this property were all sold out. That's it!!!! That's the review!!!! If you're on the fence about booking this hotel....Have no fear, you will not be disappointed!!!! Go ahead and make the booking.

My sister in law and I spent two nights at this hotel and it was great. Rooms were clean, stocked with toiletries and there were no issues. Breakfast was yummy and well stocked. The only issue we had is that this is close to the fire house and sirens went off at 2 am the first night we were there...they are loud. Overall we would stay again.

Had a great stay this past weekend. Its a very walkable location. Many restaurants super close. My check in was easy, the room was clean. Beds were comfy. They sent a text to check how things were going in the middle of my stay and quickly assisted with the minor thing I needed help with. Check out, no issue. No billing problems. I have been a Hilton Diamond member for years and am usually pleased with my trips. This Hampton Inn though was very disappointing, especially given the $320.00 per night price, not including $49.00 a night parking fee. I had checked in online and picked my room only to arrive and find it wasn't ready. They assigned me another room which had a beautiful view of dumpster alley. After 7 hours on the road we walked into an 82 degree room, no toilet paper (lucky there was a box of Kleenex), and a clogged sink. There were no other rooms avaiable so we just left to let the room cool down and give maintenance a chance to unclog the sink. And the bathroom door would only open a little over halfway due to the floor tile being warped. Day two I go to the elevator for a breakfast run and a huge cock roach is crawling on the elevator door. I sit down after breakfast to read and study at the desk, only to find out the desk lamp doesn't work. So I am now waiting for the second repair visit in as many days. When I finally have light and sit at the desk to study I feel something crawling on me. I discovered we were sharing the room with a colony of ants! Later that day my daughter is using the bathroom and screams because a giant roach is crawling up her leg. At least we had afternoon entertainment each evening watching a dozen rats the size of chihuahua's hunt for their dinner in the dumpsters. I have stayed at Motel 6's that were cleaner and had fewer insects and rodents At nearly $400.00 a night with parking expect to leave very disappointed!!

The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained, which I truly appreciated. However, my experience with the staff was extremely disappointing. Several team members came across as unfriendly and unprofessional, and the valet staff in particular displayed poor behavior. I stay at Hilton properties approximately 15–20 nights per year, and this was by far the worst service I have encountered. I would strongly encourage management to focus on improving staff attitude, professionalism, and customer service at this location. Overall, while the property is nice, the level of service did not meet expectations and left a negative impression.

Overall, pretty good hotel in a good location. Staff definitely could be a little nicer. Can’t even get a phone call in without being on hold for 30 minutes. Lots of attitude and poor customer service. The breakfast was mediocre at best, . The hotel is very clean and it’s in a really great location with a great view though.

Stayed here in February 2026. Unfortunately very unfriendly front desk. No thoughtfulness about people/tourists not speaking perfectly English. One of the gentlemen (older guy with glasses) was very disrespectful and did not even look at us while mumbleing something into his mask. When we politely asked him to repeat what he said, he was annoyed. We know understand the other reviews. It seems not be the first time, people complain about this particular "gentlemen".

Very good location for Convention Center events. I appreciated a good breakfast selection in the morning. One complaint is that the room doors do not reach the floor and there is a LOT of hallway noise that comes in because of it. Just people walking by having a conversation sounds like it is taking place in the entryway. It's especially annoying late at night when drunks are returning to their rooms and louder than usual down the length of the hallway.

Mr. Mike at the Hampton Inn truly went above and beyond during our stay. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. He was professional, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. His exceptional customer service made our experience unforgettable.
