The Capital Hilton consistently receives positive feedback for its convenient downtown location and friendly staff, particularly praising front desk agents like Frank and Theresa. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and helpfulness of the team in navigating the city and resolving travel issues. However, some reviews note occasional cleanliness concerns and infrequent use of promised amenities.
I am writing these words to you from a heart that truly loves and appreciates you. You are not just my sister; you are a piece of my soul and my companion in life. Because you are so dear to my heart, I deeply care about your well-being, and I wish for your safety and salvation both in this life and the hereafter. Out of this sincere love and deep care for you, I wanted to share something that is the most precious thing in my life: **Islam**. Islam, my dear sister, is not foreign to the noble values you believe in. It is a faith that calls for the worship of the One Creator, filling the heart with serenity and tranquility. In Islam, we highly revere and respect all the prophets; we believe in our master Jesus (peace be upon him) and his mother, the lady Mary (peace be upon her), and we see light and guidance in their lives. > "I only invite you to contemplate this faith with an open mind and a heart that seeks the truth. Islam is the submission to God and the path to an unparalleled inner peace." > I am not pressing you at all, as faith is a matter of free, personal conviction. However, I wish nothing but the absolute best for you. I love that we are together in this world, and I pray that God unites us in His Paradise in the hereafter. If you ever have any curiosity or questions, my heart and mind are always open for us to talk with love and without any restrictions. You will always be my beloved sister and my support. I pray that God illuminates your heart and guides you to what brings you goodness and eternal happiness.
My son and I stayed during the UFC 250 event and loved every minute of it! Clay at the front desk was very imformative and professional . Answered every inquiry for Washington and it's many sites! Very impressed with the cleanliness. The buffet breakfast was well worth the price! Would definitely consider this location next time in the area. Thanks Clay for making our stay memorable.
I am currently staying at the Capital Hilton and wanted to share the excellent service I had today at the front desk. I flew into DC today on a redeye flight and had been up for 28 hours when I inquired if my room was ready. It was not and checkin time was not for a few hours. But Theresa went out of her way to locate another room that was available. She was kind and curtious. She knew it meant alot to me. The room is spacious and clean. The bed is very comfy and you can’t beat the location. Thank you Theresa for making my day.
Our stay at the Capital Hilton was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a team that truly embodies what outstanding hospitality looks like. Two staff members in particular — Frank and Alex — went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Their warmth, local knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm transformed a hotel stay into something that felt personal. They offered thoughtful recommendations on dining, sightseeing, and entertainment that we actually used and loved. Frank, especially, left a lasting impression. His professionalism and sincere care for guests is the kind of rare quality that elevates an entire establishment. He didn’t just make us feel welcomed — he made us feel at home. The Capital Hilton is fortunate to have people like Frank and Alex representing its brand. We will absolutely return, in large part because of the human connection they created. Thank you for reminding us that the best part of travel is still the people you meet along the way.
Frank was a good front desk agent! He was very helpful and kind. The property was nice and clean as well. Our rooms were not cleaned the best but that was the only downside. 7/10 recommend!
I gave the Capital Hilton four out of five stars overall. The hotel is in a really great location, just a couple blocks north of the White House on 16th Street, which made it easy to walk around downtown Washington and explore the area. There’s also a Metro station about two blocks away, so getting around the city is pretty convenient. The lobby is large and nice looking, and the hotel definitely has that classic big-city Hilton feel. My room was on one of the middle floors and was surprisingly spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a sofa with built-in power outlets, which was actually pretty handy for charging devices while sitting down. The Wi-Fi was also excellent. It was much faster than the internet I’ve had at many other Hilton hotels, probably because of the downtown location. The view from the room was decent as well. It was a corner room, so part of the view looked out toward the intersection while another side looked into a courtyard area. The building itself has an unusual layout with wings that extend outward, so depending on the room you might see other parts of the hotel or rooftop areas nearby. It wasn’t a bad view, just a little unusual. Breakfast was the main downside for me. The restaurant itself was tucked away on the left side when entering the hotel, not in the main central dining area, so at first I actually had to ask where it was. The food was good, but the pricing felt high for what it was. What bothered me more was the way coffee was offered. The server asked if I wanted coffee before giving me a menu, which made it sound like it might be complimentary, especially since there is free coffee available in the lobby. Later I realized the coffee was about five dollars. It would have been much clearer if the price was mentioned up front or if the menu had been provided first. One nice perk was that the hotel provided a fifteen-dollar Lyft credit during the stay, which was useful for getting around the city. Overall, the rooms were comfortable, the internet was fast, and the location is excellent if you want to stay close to the White House and central Washington. The hotel itself feels a bit older in places, and the breakfast experience could definitely be clearer and more transparent. Still, it was a good stay and I would consider staying here again.
The hotel is very nice, comfortable, and well maintained. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it provides exactly what a business traveler needs for a productive and pleasant stay. I travel frequently for work, and it is rare to encounter someone as professional and genuinely dedicated as Frank at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, he was efficient, friendly, and exceptionally attentive — all while seamlessly multitasking and assisting several guests at once. At the beginning of the stay, I encountered an issue that could easily have disrupted my business trip. Frank handled it with calm professionalism and a clear commitment to finding a solution. He truly went above and beyond his role to ensure everything was resolved quickly and smoothly. His positive attitude and willingness to help made a stressful situation completely manageable. It is uncommon to see this level of service and care, especially from someone balancing multiple responsibilities at once. Frank represents the kind of hospitality that keeps frequent travelers coming back. The hotel is fortunate to have him at the front desk.
We had such a great experience at the Capital Hilton. Our flight was delayed and we ended up needing to stay an extra night, and the staff made the whole situation so easy and stress-free. The front desk agent Frank poku was incredibly kind. We truly felt taken care of. The service was warm, genuine, and accommodating, and it made our stay in D.C. even better.
Overall the stay was nice. The location was perfect for the staycation that I needed while celebrating a milestone birthday. The rooms however were not the cleanest when we first arrived with visible dirt on the bathroom doors and the ice maker needed to be cleaned. The rooms were nicely updated with a cozy living space. The staff and front desk service was amazing especially Frank (front desk) who assisted us with all of the amenities and perks of the hotel. I would recommend coming back for a nice hotel stay.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Capital Hilton, and I want to specifically recognize Frank at the front desk for providing exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, Frank was welcoming, professional, and genuinely attentive. Check-in was smooth and efficient, but what truly stood out was his positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond. He answered all of my questions clearly, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure every detail of my stay was handled with care. Frank has that rare ability to make guests feel valued and comfortable right away. His friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail set the tone for a great experience from start to finish. It’s clear he takes pride in his work, and it absolutely shows. Thank you, Frank, for making my stay at the Capital Hilton such a great one. Service like yours makes all the difference.
