We had a fantastic stay at the Viceroy DC while attending the Freedom Prix 250! From start to finish, the staff provided outstanding hospitality and amazing customer service. A special shout-out to Zach, who made our check-in experience exceptional. He explained all of the hotel benefits in detail, always recognized us whenever we entered or left the property, and truly made us feel welcomed. Zach even went above and beyond to assist with a request I had after hours. Thanks a million, Zach, for making our stay even more memorable! I’d also like to recognize Nia and Natasha for their professionalism, courtesy, and warm service during our checkout process. They were fantastic and helped end our stay on a very positive note. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the rooftop pool, but it looked like an amazing place to relax and unwind. A major plus is the rooftop bar, which we’ll definitely have to check out on our next visit! Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Viceroy DC. The beautiful property, excellent staff, and exceptional customer service made our stay truly memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

My stay at the Viceroy Washington DC was exceptional, and a major reason for that was Natasha at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, she was incredibly warm, personable, engaging, and genuinely funny. She has a natural ability to make guests feel immediately welcomed and comfortable. Natasha went above and beyond throughout my stay, displaying the type of thoughtful, attentive hospitality that truly sets a luxury hotel apart. She was professional while still being authentic and personable, and every interaction with her added something positive to my experience. The Viceroy is fortunate to have someone like Natasha representing the hotel. She is an outstanding ambassador for the property and deserves to be recognized for delivering such memorable service. I would gladly return, not only because of the beautiful hotel, but because of the exceptional hospitality Natasha provided.

Arrived at the hotel at 13:30, 1.5 hours before the stated checking time. We were more than happy too wait until 15:00. We got told great news your room is ready. However if you want to get to your room early it’s a $50.00 charge. Again fair enough. So we declined paying the $50.00 and were happy to wait until 15:00. We sat in close proximity to the reception desk, whilst sat waiting at least two other guests / groups were allowed to check in and they waved the $50.00 fee. I find that absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. Either follow the rules for every customer or don’t. I think the reception staff over heard me talking to my travel partner of how unsatisfied I was with what was going on. Then lo and behold the reception staff, sir we are going to wave the fee you may check in now. Not a great start to our short trip to DC. The guest amenity fee is ridiculous and money grabbing. $40.48 per day. I asked what this was for and I was told it was for the WiFi, Gym, Swimming pool, water machines & social areas. Surely the cost of these such things are covered in the room fee? Nice enough hotel however these two things put me off massively and would not stay here again.

????? An Exceptional Stay at the Viceroy Washington DC My husband Naim and I had the most amazing experience at the Viceroy Washington DC. From the moment we arrived, we knew this hotel was something special. Jennifer and Zack greeted us during check-in, and the level of service was outstanding. Zack went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and his professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine kindness were truly top-tier. He set the tone for what turned out to be a perfect stay. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. We instantly fell in love with the layout, the stylish design, and the intimate boutique feel. The room was immaculate, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable—we didn’t want to get out of it! A special thank you to Armond as well, who was incredibly pleasant and added to the exceptional hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years, but this was by far the best boutique hotel experience I’ve ever had. Every member of the staff made us feel valued, and every detail exceeded our expectations. The Viceroy turned our getaway into a memorable experience that we’ll be talking about for a long time. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special!

Excellent stay at a very clean and updated boutique hotel. Zero issues with anything. Staff was friendly and professional. Room was clean, modern and spacious. Location is good and safe with plenty of walkable places in a short distance and a short Uber or bus ride to museums. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for a long weekend and honestly it exceeded expectations. The rooms are stylish without trying too hard — clean lines, great beds, and the kind of bathroom you actually want to spend time in. Location on 14th Street is perfect; walkable to so much but still feels like you’re in a real neighborhood rather than the tourist bubble. The staff were genuinely warm, not just going-through-the-motions hotel friendly. And having Dovetail downstairs is a huge bonus — we ended up eating there twice because why would you leave? Only downside was that the pool was being renovated when we went!! Would 100% book again next time I’m in DC.

We booked our wedding room block here, with our venue 1 block away at Fathom Gallery 14 Street. This was the perfect central location to all of our wedding events. The rooms were stunning, service impeccable, and the hotel was truly the perfect home base for our wedding weekend. Working with Khris to manage the room block was seamless, and she was very responsive to my questions and requests. Every individual we encountered whether it be valet, front desk, room service, or housekeeping was friendly, and truly went above and beyond knowing we were there for our wedding. We could not have had a better experience and are looking forward to our next visit.

Very pleasant stay, with impeccable service. Room was large and clean, nice furniture and decor without any obvious or hidden wear and tear. Comfy bed, great bathroom (in my opinion). Really can't say anything negative other than I remember being vaguely unimpressed by breakfast, whether that was the hotel's fault or not I can't recall. Would stay again.

The bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on — extremely hard and difficult to rest on. The AC had issues during most of our stay, and on the last night it didn’t work at all, which made it very uncomfortable. The maintenance guy was awesome guy. That said, the service was good and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We prepaid our stay via Amex travel so the hotel didn’t refund our money we had to leave before a winter storm. Keep that in mind

I would strongly recommend finding somewhere else to stay. We booked this hotel through AMEX, and the reservation clearly stated that complimentary breakfast was included. At check-in, we specifically confirmed this with the front desk and were told, “Yes, it’s included — just order what you like and it will be taken off at the end.” However, at checkout we were shocked to find a $160 charge for breakfast on our bill. When we questioned it, we were told the information we had received was incorrect — despite having a pre-check-in email clearly stating that breakfast was included. Being charged $160 for something we were repeatedly told was complimentary is unacceptable. The lack of accountability and inconsistent communication was extremely disappointing.
