LOVE this Boutique Hotel! Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely burled walnut Art Deco meets updated cozy. Breakfast and lunch was delicious. We had 25 people meeting in the basement space for several days. Round tables in one room. Sofas and chairs in another. Conference room for 20 or so. Kitchen area for all drinks and occasional snacks. I would definitely stay at the Lyle again. Highly recommend for a smaller workgroup gathering.

I’ve stayed at many hotels, and this one stands out as a favorite. I booked The Lyle for a work trip and was so impressed by everything from the soft carpet and comfortable bed to the friendly and helpful staff and dietary labels on the restaurant menu. Any time I called to request something, it arrived in minutes. All around an exceptional experience.

Extremely impressed by this hotel. Check-in was seamless, friendly and accommodating. The valet was helpful and patient. The queen deluxe room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The best part of the Lyle is the staff that goes out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. There seems to be a culture of kindness and customer service at this place. My family and I will absolutely stay here in the future.

I love this hotel. It was my third stay and I’m not disappointed. I’m surprised that this hotel is not included in the Michelin recommendations yet. The location is perfect, very walkable, safe, close to many different dining options. The staff is great, very friendly and professional. The room was spacious, well designed, very confortable and with an amazing view on the Washington monument. The only negative point would be the lack of water pressure in the shower. The hotel has a real identity, and the restaurant inside is worth a visit, cocktails are very good and original.

We stayed at the Lyle this weekend to enjoy the holiday markets in DC. Front desk staff and valet were all friendly. We stayed in a Deluxe King Room, which was spacious as well as clean. They also include water bottles and a cute Lyle tote bag in their hotel fee - which I personally think is nice as a lot of hotels do have fees, but usually do not include anything for their guests.

The room and hotel were very nice. The staff was pleasant. The price makes it seem too good to be true, and it kind of is. They charge and additional $34/night for a "hotel fee". I asked what this was for and was told it was for all the amenities. If you're charged this regardless, it should be included in the price ahead of time. Otherwise, you're just scamming people. Also, there's nowhere to park anywhere nearby. They don't have self-parking but offer valet parking at $64/night. The room was nice, but it's not worth feeling like you're being scammed. I wouldn't stay here again.

I recently stayed at The Lyle for a work trip and had an excellent experience. So much so I was compelled to write a review, which I do rarely and have never done for a hotel. The staff were extremely nice, the rooms are spacious, well-designed, and clean. They even have an umbrella and a nice tote bag for the visitors — what a thoughtful touch. The restaurant in the lobby is really good, too (food is excellent, especially for a hotel restaurant!). The hotel itself is stylish and has a character, not like one of those big chain hotels. I definitely plan to stay at The Lyle on my next trip to DC. Highly recommend!

I recently stayed three nights at the Lyle for a work trip and had a stellar experience. I arrived quite early, before noon, on the day I checked in and the front desk was able to get me into a room right away which was MUCH appreciated. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Since Covid, I’ve found that most hotels don’t offer daily housekeeping anymore. The Lyle does, and it was a much welcome surprise to return to a made bed, fresh towels, and two new water bottles each day. We utilized the lower level conference space for work meetings and the gentlemen who set up breakfast, lunch, and snacks was exceptional. He was friendly, accommodating, made sure snacks and drinks were plentiful at all times, and quickly cleared our plates when we were finished. I would also like to highlight the doormen. They assisted me with my luggage before I even had a chance to ask. They greeted me with a friendly smile and “hello” each time I arrived and left the building and even wished me a happy birthday. They were the icing on the cake for an already great experience. Overall, I was very impressed by the service, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff at the Lyle and I would absolutely recommend anyone else to stay here.

I am astonished at the professionalism of the hotel staff. I visited the hotel for a three night stay and felt the entire experience - booking to checkout - was superb. The staff juggled numerous variables during my stay and handled them seamlessly. There was a large wedding party. Unplanned emergency hot water issue. And, the usual customer service demands, not a detail went unattended. Most valuable was Megan Brennan. She went above and beyond to expeditiously resolve a duplicative charge assessed by Expedia; more importantly, worked tirelessly to locate my lost wallet. I would be remiss if I didn’t cite the integrity of the staff — ALL MY CASH and CARDS were intact / untouched! I am forever grateful for the hospitality and generosity; the Lyle has earned a life long because of my experience.

A nightmare experience!!! I paid $1,000 for two nights! First room was the size of a closet for three people in a hidden out of the way alcove. We complained so we were upgraded to a larger room that was made for handicapped guests! We are not handicapped! Staff was very nice and room was clean but the room amenities were odd! We didn’t even have closets! There were openings with curtains everywhere with light sensors! Lights to these so called closets would go on anytime you’d pass by. This would wake us up night f we would move in a certain direction. Very disappointed Ellen K
