The Hyatt Regency Crystal City offers a convenient location near Reagan National Airport and is frequently used for conferences. While praised for its spacious rooms, friendly staff, and comfortable beds, some guests report issues with inconsistent room temperatures, restroom crowding during large events, and audio quality in conference facilities.
I’ve attended multiple conferences at the Hyatt Regency, though I have not stayed overnight. The venue is attractive, well-maintained, and clearly capable of accommodating hundreds of attendees for large events. The conference facilities are generally organized and efficient. However, there are a couple of drawbacks. The restrooms feel somewhat undersized for the volume of people attending large events, which can lead to congestion during breaks. The biggest issue is the audio system. It is often difficult to clearly hear and understand speakers, and audience questions are rarely audible, making it challenging to follow discussions and presentations effectively. Overall, it’s a decent conference venue with good capacity, but improvements to the sound system and event support facilities would significantly enhance the experience.
I had a great stay at this Hyatt property. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable with plenty of room to relax after a long day! The hotel is located near DCA which is a plus! The staff was friendly and professional! Overall the hotel was well maintained, comfortable and offered great value for the location! Would definitely stay here again if I’m back in the area!
Beautiful hotel and an excellent place to stay! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how modern, elegant, and well-maintained the property is. The atmosphere throughout the hotel feels welcoming and sophisticated, making it a great choice whether you're traveling for business or leisure. I absolutely loved my room. It was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room felt both stylish and inviting. One of the highlights of my stay was the view. Waking up and looking out over the surrounding area added something special to the experience. Whether during the day or at night, the scenery was beautiful and made spending time in the room even more enjoyable. The combination of comfortable accommodations, stunning views, and the hotel's convenient location near Reagan National Airport makes this a property I would gladly stay at again. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in the Washington, D.C. area!
I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were nice but both nights - there were no towels replenished or missing towels so check the number as soon as you check in. I don't think the housekeeping staff speak or read English based on my interactions. I left a $5 tip and asked for 3 sets total of towels but was left with only the towel we did not use. Also for the in room Hyatt commercial loop- let's agree to having no kissing since many of us don't want to explain 2 men kissing to our small children. Check your bill since I had over $100 in extra charges before I checked in and another $60+ charges the night before checking out. Staff was understanding and removed the charges. The man who drove the shuttle gave Excellent service. He said he recently moved to DC less than a month ago and was on the afternoon, early evening shift of 16 and 17 May (handsome, middle age black man - wish I had his name). He is a Huge asset to your hotel service. Also the waitress on the 0630 shift of the restaurant on 17 May was Amazing! She was such a caring, nurturing and hardworking waitress and went above and beyond!!!!
I wanted to thank you and your staff for a fantastic experience at your property this weekend. My flight got delayed and I "got stuck" in Arlington for the night, and I was able to choose your hotel through the airline. But my interaction with your property completely turned my "got stuck in Arlington" into "had the wonderful opportunity to stay the night in Arlington." From the friendly young lady at the front desk to the extremely helpful guys at the front door, and the incredibly comfortable and relaxing evening in my room, it's rare these days that I have that kind of experience. Thank you again.
I recently stayed at this hotel for a business trip and unfortunately had a disappointing experience with customer service. Upon check-in, Jessica at the front desk appeared visibly unfriendly and was frowning throughout the interaction. There was no warm welcome, and she did not go over any of the hotel amenities, or available discounts and perks that I know I was entitled to during my stay. As someone traveling for work, that information is important and would have been helpful. I also dined at the hotel restaurant LobbiBar and ordered the French Dip. It arrived filled with what look old, and overly burnt meat. It was completely inedible. I’ve attached a photo for reference. It was extremely disappointing, especially after a long day of travel. I made my server aware and was brought out another sandwich which I ended up taking to go as my colleagues were now nearly done with their meals. The unfortunate part is that the hotel room itself was actually very nice, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Housekeeping clearly does a great job, which makes the lack of front desk hospitality and poor food quality even more disappointing. I hope management addresses the customer service at the front desk and the restaurant quality, as this property has potential but needs improvement in guest experience.
I have just called the hotel pertaining to questions regarding the parking situation/breakfast/early check-in etc since this is the first time I am planning to stay. I was lucky enough to talk to the front desk staff named Virginia who has been so helpful in explaining all the details and it's been a pleasure talking to her. Being a Globalist, I almost call the hotels I am planning to stay before to get a gist of the hospitality from the front desk staff and this is the best response I ever had even before staying so this really deserves a good review for the excellent help from Virginia. I hope my stay will be as good as the conversation.
Our stay at Hyatt Regency Crystal City was wonderful. The hotel is quiet, clean, and conveniently close to Reagan National Airport, with an easy shuttle and nearby access to the metro and walking paths. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, from the shuttle drivers to the bartenders—special thanks to Beza and Virginia for making our stay memorable. Rooms were comfortable, though softer sheets would be a nice touch, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Perfect for families traveling through the area, and we would definitely return!
Status recognition was a really nice surprise and definitely made my stay more enjoyable. Virginia’s service stood out in the best way, she was warm, friendly, and professional, and made everything feel genuinely welcoming. The airport shuttle running every 20 minutes was also very convenient and easy to use.
I really love this hotel. Everybody from the time you arrive at the airport and the shuttle driver picks you up untill the time you leave are very hospitable. Very nice toiletries and quiet rooms. Beza, The nighttime bartender is very sweet. She is very welcoming and makes a great martini. I highly suggest the crabcake appetizer and the coleslaw to accompany it as a side. The only thing I can find to improve this hotel is maybe softer sheet as they seemed a bit stiff. The Wi-Fi is great and the location is just a couple minutes from Reagan airport. You are not too far away from the metro station and if you need to get out and have a run, you are steps away from the George Washington Parkway.
