The Georgetown Inn consistently receives positive reviews for its prime location in Georgetown, offering easy access to shopping, restaurants, and Georgetown University. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, friendly staff, and convenient amenities like valet parking and room service. However, some reviews cite issues with noise levels and bathroom quality.
Such an amazing location with shopping and great food around. Our room had a great view of DC, and the service was stellar. The room was very spacious and I enjoyed the gym!
The rooms are extremely nice and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful with parking and any questions we had. Location wise, the hotel was perfect and near all the major shops/restaurants. Such a good experience!
Excellent location that is near many great restaurants and shops. The staff is super friendly and willing to help. They also have parking and a great valet service. Additionally, the rooms are beautiful and very spacious. Definitely the best location and hotel in DC.
We stayed at the Georgetown Inn from October 22-25. Upon arrival we were greeted a bit short. The couple arriving appeared to be greeted more pleasantly and were offered help with their bags. We had 4 bags, we were not offered assistance until we got to the elevators and 2 tipped over and then were offered and we kindly declined at that point. It would have been nice to be treated with the same kindness as the people prior. The hotel is very nice, the room was very spacious, love all the added extra touches in the room. However, the bathroom could use some love, but that is minor. The rooms were not quiet. You could hear every door slam, people next door to you every time they dropped something or moved something. It would be nice to have the doors shut slowly so they do not slam hard. The "wood" floors are nice touch, but really do add sound.
Stayed at the Georgetown Inn at the end of August 2025 and loved it! The location is perfect—right in the middle of Georgetown with so many restaurants, shops, and cafés just steps away. Everyone on staff was super friendly, and housekeeping kept our room looking great the whole week. It felt safe, cozy, and even had a restaurant in the lobby with room service, which was a nice bonus. For what we paid, I think it was an awesome deal. I’d give it a solid 4.5/5. My only wish? A pool! That would’ve made the stay even better. Still, I’d go back in a heartbeat!
Lovely traditional hotel in Georgetown. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was really nice, big comfortable bed, plenty of storage, coffee maker and fresh bottled water (no charge). Bathroom was compact but had everything you needed, good shower, toiletries available including shower cap & cotton wool pads. They also have a great information binder for places to visit. Reception area is lovely with a coupe if seating areas. They have a restaurant & bar attached, really nice vibe and worth a visit. Finally, a nice touch from the staff was leaving chocolates & a card advising the weather forecast for the following day.
The location is the ONLY thing going for this hotel! Just returning from a visit to Georgetown University and the location of this hotel is perfect for proximity to the school. However, the staff at this place are so rude I was dumbfounded. Our room felt like no better than a dorm — terribly sticky fake wood flooring and no coziness at all. The bathrooms are some of the worst I’ve ever seen! I’m only 5’6” and I could easily touch the ceiling. It was so cramped I felt like we were on a cruise ship. I would really never stay here again, especially considering the price for what we got — nearly $500/night for accommodations that reminded me of MY college dorm from years ago, and not in a good way.
Pleasant place, excellent location to fit our plans. Check-in & check-out easy. Only critique is the cost for parking was high.
I can’t help it. I just always have to stay here. This is where my friend’s parents stayed when I was in boarding school outside of Washington DC back when I was in high school. So it’s wonderful to return to my old Hunt even though the movie theaters have become either clothing, stores or coffee shops . It has recently become renovated, and the rooms are extremely hypoallergenic so if that’s a good thing for you, then you will be very happy ! It’s kind of high-end and bare bones all at the same time if that makes any sense . But the place comes along in a no nonsense high-quality kind of way in the world’s best location . They have excellent windows so despite being in a very noisy place, you don’t hear a peep from outside !
The hotel’s location is fantastic, right on the high street and close to Georgetown Uni. The room was clean, cosy, and the beds were very comfortable. However, the bathroom and heating/AC felt quite dated. The TV was too tiny for the room size and lacked streaming options - not ideal for international visitors who don't watch regular American TV. The lobby looked modern, but the reception staff could have been friendlier. For the price, the amenities and service didn’t quite match expectations. With a few upgrades, this could be an excellent stay.
