The Washington Hilton consistently receives positive feedback for its friendly and helpful staff, particularly front desk representatives like Bereket and Isabel, who go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. While some reviews mention aspects needing attention, such as room noise and outdated features, the overall experience is considered pleasant, especially regarding service and location. Recent reviews highlight the dedication of staff members like Officer Shaw and Chef Daniel, demonstrating a strong commitment to hospitality.
Hashem at the front desk, surpassed my expectations! He was so nice & accommodating. I was pretty frustrated when I went to park & there was no parking & still had to pay a parking fee but Hashem went out of his way to make sure I got something back from that. He’s extremely personable & kind. Well deserving of a raise!
The room was good. But I still wonder why they put full size beds instead of queens in the rooms. They are not big enough for a couple that are accustomed to a king sized bed. The one thing that was a complete stand out was our waitress for breakfast. Her name was Mei Shih. She was the best part of this hotel experience. Cheerful and so very pleasant upon our first morning there. We requested her the rest of the week because of how amazing she was. She is honestly a shining star in this hotel. Mei Shih gets a raving review from us.
I had an outstanding experience at the Washington Hilton, and I want to specifically recognize Bereket at the front desk for delivering exceptional customer service. When I first arrived to my room, it hadn’t been cleaned. I went back down to the front desk, not upset at all, just looking to get it sorted out. Bereket immediately took ownership of the situation and went above and beyond to make things right. He quickly got me into a new room — and not just any room, but one with an incredible view of the city. On top of that, he generously comped $50 toward dining, which was completely unexpected and very much appreciated. Throughout the entire interaction, he was professional, apologetic, and genuinely focused on taking care of me as a guest — even when I reassured him it wasn’t his fault. It’s rare to see that level of accountability and care. Bereket truly represents what great hospitality should look like. Because of him, what could have been a negative experience turned into a great one. 5 stars all the way. ?????
We had the best experience checking in with Isabel at the front desk. Our room wasn’t ready and she could tell we were absolutely dragging after flying out very early. She spoke with Shak and was able to find a room ready for us right away. We were SO thankful as we had our in laws with us and they were exhausted. I can’t thank Isabel and Shak enough for taking care of us! The hotel itself is nice and although it is renovated it definitely still smells of 1942. It can be difficult to get an uber or Lyft into the front circle for pick up. The closest metro station is a good walk away. Do NOT have breakfast in the downstairs buffet. It is EXPENSIVE and the food is comparative to a complimentary continental breakfast. Go out to Starbucks or Panera to start your day. The hotel is located is a great area of town with a lot of food options.
I attended the Make A Wish Foundation fundraiser at the Washington Hilton about a week ago. The atmosphere in the ballroom was beautiful, the food was delicious and a lot of money was raised for a good cause. I attend many corporate banquets for various reasons. The bar service almost all of the time is mediocre, basic drinks served in various glasses. I must comment on one bartender Patrick who went above and beyond what I normally expect. He was friendly, engaging and truly a professional. He enjoyed preparing great drinks down to actually squeezing the fruit added to the drink. I appreciated his efforts. His special drink is a delicious Old Fashioned. You had the option of regular or smoked. He peeled the orange rind, added the skewered Luxardo cherries, mixed the drink, patiently smoked the drink if requested and poured it over the rocks in the prepared glass. Word got out and people began to line up for a delightful drink for any bourbon lover. He turned an ordinary event into a memorable occasion. Thank you.
So we (middle schoolers and 2 advisors) traveled to this hotel from california for the lead conference. When we first got there, the service was good and we got our rooms at an appropriate time. Although, when we got up to our rooms there was only one bed and we needed 2 beds for 3 of the rooms. It was already late enough, but we had to wait until 1am to get the rollaway bed which was also terrible. That wasn’t our biggest problem because I could tell the worker tried his best to deliver all the beds, but they should have more than one person working on that. Next problem, the cafe (with the starbucks). The workers at there were extremely rude and had terrible manners. While they were working on drinks, I could tell there were no masks and one of them was coughing, so that was unsanitary. Also the elevators were very crowded so many decided to go to the stairs, but the doors were closed at the stairs. This could be a huge problem in a case of an emergency (fire). This is all that happened so far but it’s only day 2, as day 1 was mostly (90%) traveling.
I recently stayed at Hilton Washington DC and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring the city. One of the highlights of my stay was Chef Daniel. He was absolutely wonderful—so warm and welcoming—and truly went above and beyond to make our experience special. He also took the time to personally recommend some great local restaurants in the area, which turned out to be amazing choices. Thanks to the attentive staff and Chef Daniel’s thoughtful hospitality, my stay was memorable and I would happily return. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing experience at the Washington Hilton! All the staff was very friendly and courteous. During our stay, I spoke with Chef Daniel, who generously recommended some of his favorite local restaurants. We decided to have dinner at O-Ku Sushi and it was absolutely fabulous. Thanks for the recommendation! We will be definitely returning to the hotel and experience more of this amazing city.
Officer Shaw is so friendly and personable and really loved on our people. Icing on the cake was when we were leaving. He helped us out to the car then helped ensure we got to the airport on time when our Uber driver was refusing to take us. He even loaded our bags and gave me the biggest hug before saying goodbye. You've got a good one there, Hilton! Treat him right! ;)
Great experience from check in to check out! Grateful for housekeeping staff! Great work!! Wish rooms had a refrigerator. Only 4 stars due to smaller bathroom and lack of true privacy due to the sliding doors. Rowena did a great job of educating me on the benefits of Hilton Vacation Club. Can’t wait to see how it works. Love Hilton!
