The Omni Shoreham Hotel offers a convenient location near the Washington D.C. subway and boasts a rich history, frequently hosting notable events and musicians. Guests consistently praise the friendly and attentive staff, particularly at the front desk and in the hotel’s restaurants and lounges.
We stayed at the Omni Shoreham in Woodley Park, DC. With the subway station two minutes away on foot, the hotel location is excellent. This one feature made getting around the city extremely convenient! The room was spacious and comfortable. However, there was zero counter space around the sink in the bathroom. We literally had to place our toiletries on the floor. Also, the mattresses were on the very firm side, and we would have preferred the option to have a room with softer mattresses. Overall, our stay at the Omni was pleasant, and the service was friendly.
Lacey & Lelise made staying at the hotel exceptional! I stayed with my two best girl friends for a mom’s night away from the kids, and it was perfect! The service was amazing, the room was wonderful, the location was perfect! And the decorations for Valentine’s Day were so beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful night away :)!
We stayed at the Omni shoram hotel in Georgetown. Vandanna lidya and hugo were AMAZING! Lidya at the bar is phenomenal. Lidya made the greatest espresso martini I’ve ever had. Her white tea shot was also out of the park. Overall BECAUSE OF Lydia we give this establishment as a whole a 10/10. She made our night AND our amazing drinks and we will be back to see her?
This is a superb hotel. It has a beautifully appointed lobby and large welcoming area. This hotel is also family friendly, which is very appreciated, including setting aside dedicated space in the hotel for play for kids. Recently, our family has come to learn about this lovely hotel setting aside a large room a few times a week with bouncy houses and other fun things for kids. This is terrific, and we're so happy to know about this. We had time with Yvette at the hotel this evening (December 13) in the bouncy house room for kids, and she was lovely and attentive. We look forward to spending more time at this beautiful hotel and to sharing its activities with others.
Had a recent stay in November for a conference honoring the veterans, first time in town from Cali, came in a day early to tour the town. The hotel concierge desk David I believe his name was, helped up book our tour and it was convenient because they pick you up from the hotel and drop you off once it's done. Very helpful. Very nice hotel even though it's outdated but everything worked in my room except the little hot fridge in the dresser. They should swap those out for new ones. There was some construction going on in the week but didn't mind the noise as I wasnt much in the room. The coffee shop was excellent and so was the restaurant. Only thing is they should extend the house for room service until maybe 1130, came back from the tour hungry and they had just closed and were able to only make 1 burger for us to share but they comped the burger. You have a CVS a block away to get drinks and snacks to hold you over. Staff was nice and welcoming. Didn't have any issues. Oh and don't use the coffee machine in the room!! However they should have a pet relief area for service animals that are traveling with their handler.
Lovely hotel in perfect setting. Wonderful pool, gardens, and many activities for guests like yoga, things for kids. If you don't love your room, the management will find you a new one. I didn't love my first room bc had a bit of a musty feel and faced street, they helped me find garden facing in great room with no problems.
From the moment I arrived, the reception staff were courteous and the check-in process was quick. Although the hotel is old, its decor is distinctive, exuding luxury and comfort. All amenities were available in the room, which was very clean and spacious. The lobby was bright and airy, offering various services, shops, and most importantly, a restaurant. At breakfast, I ordered my meals, but the coffee served wasn't hot enough. I told the waiter, and he complied with my request. Then one of the staff members, a Sudanese man, approached me and offered to help if I needed anything. He asked why we were at the hotel, whether it was for tourism, and I told him. He then informed the entire staff, who were incredibly sympathetic. One of the female employees even burst into tears. They offered us everything they could, so thank you to them for that. I appreciate their noble sentiments, which embody all the meaning of kindness Humanity
I stayed here for a staycation for my birthday and I have to say they made it extremely special. Sash at the front desk is so amazing. So hospitable and she really took care of me and my sister. Even sent us something special for our bday and she didn’t have to do that. She upgraded our room. Just an amazing experience. The lounge is great. Great cocktails and the restaurant Robert’s sent us a bday dessert. The food was great. The hostess was so nice. I didn’t get her name but she is from Jamaica and was just so sweet. 5/5 experience. Highly recommend!!
Not a central location close to all the DC sites, however it's within walking distance of a subway stop so navigating the city isn't bad. The rooms were very nice and the staff is wonderful. I was here for a conference and I'd happily recommend this hotel to anyone staying on business or personal. The drinks in the lounge were good and there was musical entertainment a couple of evenings while we were there. Hotel has a great history of notable musicians playing and staying here. There's a beautiful walking/running/bike path behind the hotel.
A gorgeous art deco hotel, it was built in about 1929 and has hosted the Beatles and many political events such as inaugural balls. Elegant, spacious, lovely. I go there every March for the Psychotherapy Networker conference. This was my 28th year. The STAFF people are unfailingly polite, professional, and friendly Many have been there for a long time. This year, I thanked as many people as I could ( verbally and in a long letter to the management) because the people are that wonderful. From the valet to the bellman to the front desk to the concierge to the restaurant, lounge, snack bar, banquet staff to security, housekeeping and maintenance, these folks know how to treat their guests. I will add that the food is delicious, the beds are comfortable and the grounds are beautiful! Thank you, Omni Shoreham!
