The Omni Shoreham Hotel consistently receives positive reviews for its exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere, particularly from staff members like Lydia, Jamal, Eva Michels, and David. Guests frequently praise the hotel’s amenities, including the pool, fitness center, and bar, and its convenient location near Washington D.C. attractions. While some rooms may show signs of age, the overall experience is considered positive.
Lydia and Moses at the pool bar amazing so friendly so accommodating they even played our Wedding song for us sea of love! They made us feel so special made our anniversary so perfect. Can’t thank them enough. We will definitely be back to the Omni shoreham. If you’re planning a getaway or a special weekend trip, definitely consider this hotel resort you will not be disappointed. Everyone on staff is genuinely accommodating nice pleasant and wants you to have the best experience.
Being from Texas, we chose to stay at the Omni Hotel in Washington, DC, and it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we checked in until the time we checked out, the customer service was exceptional. Every team member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. Whether we were checking in or simply requesting a few extra towels, everyone made us feel valued and well taken care of. A special thank you to Jamal, with the security team, and Alex. Since we were unfamiliar with the DC area, we found ourselves needing directions and recommendations several times. They were always incredibly kind, professional, patient, and courteous. No matter how many questions we had, they took the time to help us with a smile, making us feel comfortable and welcome throughout our stay. Working in the customer service industry myself, I truly value exceptional service and professionalism. The level of care shown to my husband, myself, and even our daughter, who lives in DC, did not go unnoticed. It’s clear that hospitality is a priority here. The hotel itself was beautiful. The lobby has an elegant ambiance, the rooms were comfortable and inviting, and the amenities were excellent. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool, the relaxing sauna, and the well-equipped fitness center. One of our favorite surprises was the Marquee Bar & Lounge. It was the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine or a cocktail. My husband and I loved the relaxed atmosphere, great vibes, and inviting ambiance. If you’re visiting DC, I highly recommend staying at the Omni. Between the beautiful accommodations, outstanding amenities, and the incredible team members like Jamal and Alex, this hotel delivers an experience that truly makes you feel at home. We will definitely be back!
Pathetic excuse for a spa and luxury hotel. Feels like you are in the back rooms. Staff has no clue what's going on and it's difficult to make an actual appointment at the spa. The spa is in the basement of the hotel. For the marketing they put out on the website and in hotel brochures it is a total catfish for what it actually is. The locker rooms feel like an afterthought with old carpet, dim lighting, and a sauna that doesn't even work. It's like your average ymca locker room but add carpet and a broken sauna. The hotel is fine. It's a catfish for luxury with staff that has no clue what's is going on is unhelpful and will not accommodate special events or acknowledge if they made a mistake. They are combative and create a frustrating and elongated check in experience. The rooms are fine but it's catfishing luxury. UPDATE!!! WENT TO THE LOUNGE AND GOT A BUG IN OUR CHEESECAKE
The hotel and the staff is absolutely amazing. Especially the hotel concierge, Eva Michels. She made our stay unforgettable by making us feel like the most important people in the hotel. I had to run to to the airport and Eva helped my wife and kids to get to the pool and even brought the keys and a couple waters to my wife when the room became available. It made a world of a difference because my wife was managing our three toddlers alone. The hotel is really nice and the rooms are spacious. We got a connected room which had a little hallways that led from one room to another one. The outdoor pool is great and super kid friendly. The hotel has a ton of programs for kids such us bouncy house on Saturday and a kids corner. The hotel is located in a nice part of the town and it is only 10-15 min walk from the Zoo. However, it is important to use the front entrance of the zoo because the back has super steep slopes. Being a champion member definitely worth it. We could use the VIP line for easy check in, got extra perks, and the welcome messages made the trip more special. We will definitely come back for another long weekend.
My son and I stayed at The Omni Shoreham Hotel last weekend, and after an eight-hour drive, we were very excited to arrive. We checked in late at night after realizing there had been a mix-up and I had mistakenly thought I had booked two nights. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked. The hotel manager, Elysiam, was exceptionally kind and, after Derrik at the front desk explained our situation, personally came out and found a room for us. Derrik and Eve were incredibly supportive, professional, and helpful throughout our entire stay. The housekeeping staff and bell attendants were also wonderful, always patient, friendly, and eager to assist. The hotel itself is stunning, with elegant décor and beautiful finishes throughout. Our room was very comfortable, with quality linens and furnishings, and the beds provided a great night's sleep. The fitness facilities were well maintained and never overcrowded, and the resort-style pool was lovely. One of our favorite features was the beautiful garden area, where we enjoyed taking walks and playing ping pong after a delicious breakfast at the hotel. The location is also excellent, with a variety of restaurants nearby and easy access to Washington's major attractions, including the museums, monuments, and Capitol Hill area. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend The Omni Shoreham Hotel to anyone visiting Washington, D.C.
I had the absolute best time hanging out by the pool and a massive shout out to Lidiya Abel and Tonica. They were working so hard but still made sure everyone felt completely.Make sure everyone completely taken care of the drinks were absolutely delicious and the service was incredibly fast and attentive. Honestly, they’re amazing energy and friendly vibes. Totally made my pool day if you’re staying here you definitely have to drop by and see them. They are total rock stars I’ll definitely be back.
We had a lovely overnight stay at the Omni Shoreham after an event at the hotel. We enjoyed a comfortable, quiet room. The best part came shortly after checkout. I realized I had left an item in our room so we called and spoke to Linda on the phone. She went to our room, got the item, and met me in the lobby to give it to me. That is great service!
Beautiful hotel and clean rooms. Great location. Very friendly staff upon checking in. This gets three stars because on three separate occasions we requested extra pillows. Once at the front desk, once calling the front desk from the room and once with housekeeping. This request was ignored all three times. We never got the pillows. Upon checking out when we explained were just really disappointed with this, the receptionist didn’t seem that concerned. The Omni made it feel like once they received your payment, all bets were off. Perhaps a perfuse apology, or a complimentary drink or drop a charge off of what we billed to the room, to at least show that this is below an acceptable standard. I wouldn’t expect this kind of poor service at a motel let alone a place that prides itself on being a resort.
If the place I travel to has an Omni, that’s the only hotel I stay at. This weekend, I traveled to DC and, as always, booked my stay with Omni. The hotel has a lot of character and is located close to all the sightseeing spots. And as always, the best employees work here. I want to give a special shoutout to the front desk manager, John Alfonzo. Not only was he incredibly nice and hospitable, but he also gave us a little history lesson about the location and the DMV area. To the Omni team, if you're reading this, please recognize him. Thank you
Fantastic place with excellent service. My only complaint and it is minor is how far a convenience location like a Walgreens would be and that isn't even the Omni's fault. The driveway while it is a bit of a nuisance to pull into it's not that much of a chore. The hotel itself is exquisite it is beautiful edifice filled with beautiful rooms. Each hallway itself is lovely. The bar and its service folk were very welcoming, the front desk was exceptional and helpful, the concierge was quick to greet and welcome. Everything that I asked for was taken care of by the front desk. Fantastic service and a beautifully cleaned up space for me. Highly recommend.
