The best hotel we've stayed at and we travel 70% of the time for work/pleasure all over USA & international. Love their staff great bar tender and food - breakfast worth the money and the morning waitress wonderful! Quite and truly historic.

I had accidentally booked an accessible room, which was a nice room. Unfortunately this did not work, since there was no seating besides the bed and a desk chair and shower only had a wand. The front desk graciously let us change rooms for the remainder of the stay. It was in old part of hotel on first floor. It was not loud, maybe a little dark since we kept shades drawn so you couldn’t see inside room from street. There are no ice machines, but we got ice from the bar. Doormen were all great. We ate at restaurant one night and food was really good!

This is a boutique hotel. The bathroom in the room is extremely small. It features a shower curtain rather than a glass enclosure—a choice I find unhygienic. There is no waste bin next to the toilet; instead, it is located outside that area, by the sink. The showerhead is positioned very low, forcing you to stand right up against the wall while showering—it is very uncomfortable. The towel rack was completely loose and pulling away from the wall. They failed to provide housekeeping service for our room. We filed a complaint, but they merely offered an apology. We requested fresh towels and soap, but they didn't bring them to us until after 9:00 PM. They provide drink vouchers for the bar, but you can't use them to order whatever you like—only specific items designated by the hotel (beer, white wine, or red wine)—so they aren't particularly useful. We did order three Aperol Spritzes, however, and they were EXCELLENT. We are leaving with a bitter taste in our mouths, as they didn't even have the courtesy to offer a small complimentary gesture to make up for leaving our room completely uncleaned. These are oversights that a hotel of this caliber should never let happen—especially considering the hotel wasn't even fully booked.

Hotel is nice, convenient , and clean. Their valet parking is abit expensive. A little constructive criticism for mngmt — Front desk check in/out need to be more welcoming and pleasant not have rude faces and abrasive tones when interacting with guests… a big part of a hotel stay is hospitality.

My stay was booked for a Saturday night. Hands down the quiest most peaceful stay I’ve ever had in a hotel. I also enjoyed the fact that this hotel isn’t marketed towards families with kids. I believe all rooms are one bedroom. Very adult oriented which suits me just fine. This hotel will definitely be on my list for future stays in DC.
