Morrison Clark is truly a gem in DC. Housed in two restored, 19th-century Victorian mansions, the hotel has all the qualities of a historic boutique hotel: high ceilings, lovely wooden moldings, armoires, individual toiletries, high comfortable beds and quiet rooms. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We had a Superior Room, 1 Queen Bed, on the ground floor adjacent to the landscaped courtyard with its pool and Waterlilies. The price of the rooms is more than reasonable for the quality of the hotel. The staff is superb and very accommodating. If you stay there be sure to admire the rooms near the restaurant with their ornate fireplaces. The restaurant is very nice: good food and soft background music which allows for conversation. The bar also serves excellent cocktails. A truly lovely hotel.

The best hotel we've stayed at and we travel 70% of the time for work/pleasure all over USA & international. Love their staff great bar tender and food - breakfast worth the money and the morning waitress wonderful! Quite and truly historic.

I had accidentally booked an accessible room, which was a nice room. Unfortunately this did not work, since there was no seating besides the bed and a desk chair and shower only had a wand. The front desk graciously let us change rooms for the remainder of the stay. It was in old part of hotel on first floor. It was not loud, maybe a little dark since we kept shades drawn so you couldn’t see inside room from street. There are no ice machines, but we got ice from the bar. Doormen were all great. We ate at restaurant one night and food was really good!

Quiet, cosy, exceptionally clean, really comfy large bed, and spacious walk in shower. Bathroom was unusually spacious, very stylish, sort of romantic vibe. Bed was amazing, very large, slept like a baby (I'm a sensitive sleeper, so this was a bonus). Location is perfect - if you're on business trip, everything is either 10-15min by foot, or 5-10min by Uber. From White House to Senate, State Dept or Pentagon. Area around the hotel was awesome - quiet, green, shops and restaurants/cafés in abundance. BTW, and exceptional peach cobbler place just 3 mins from the hotel. Hotel has a wonderful inner garden with the waterfall type fountain, ideal for evening chat and quiet enough for interviews. The only caveat is some of the staff at the hotel restaurant. During a full week of my stay never saw them in positive mood (*_*;

This is a boutique hotel. The bathroom in the room is extremely small. It features a shower curtain rather than a glass enclosure—a choice I find unhygienic. There is no waste bin next to the toilet; instead, it is located outside that area, by the sink. The showerhead is positioned very low, forcing you to stand right up against the wall while showering—it is very uncomfortable. The towel rack was completely loose and pulling away from the wall. They failed to provide housekeeping service for our room. We filed a complaint, but they merely offered an apology. We requested fresh towels and soap, but they didn't bring them to us until after 9:00 PM. They provide drink vouchers for the bar, but you can't use them to order whatever you like—only specific items designated by the hotel (beer, white wine, or red wine)—so they aren't particularly useful. We did order three Aperol Spritzes, however, and they were EXCELLENT. We are leaving with a bitter taste in our mouths, as they didn't even have the courtesy to offer a small complimentary gesture to make up for leaving our room completely uncleaned. These are oversights that a hotel of this caliber should never let happen—especially considering the hotel wasn't even fully booked.

Hotel is nice, convenient , and clean. Their valet parking is abit expensive. A little constructive criticism for mngmt — Front desk check in/out need to be more welcoming and pleasant not have rude faces and abrasive tones when interacting with guests… a big part of a hotel stay is hospitality.

My stay was booked for a Saturday night. Hands down the quiest most peaceful stay I’ve ever had in a hotel. I also enjoyed the fact that this hotel isn’t marketed towards families with kids. I believe all rooms are one bedroom. Very adult oriented which suits me just fine. This hotel will definitely be on my list for future stays in DC.
