I recently stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel in Arlington and really enjoyed my visit. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very large and seemed to host many big events during my stay. While some areas felt a bit dated, everything was clean, well-kept, and taken care of. The complimentary shuttle to and from the nearby airport was extremely convenient, and we also took advantage of the luggage holding area before check-in and after check-out. I’d definitely stay again!

The escalator to the lobby level (one floor above ground) was broken during my entire stay. During peak times, the queue for the elevator was several full cars deep. At one point, the elevator tripped out of service due to being over capacity. When I inquired about the status of the repair for the escalator, staff did not have an ETA. When I inquired about several staircases, the staff said they were all for egress only and could not be reconfigured as an alternative for the escalator. When I asked if the remaining down-direction escalator could be stopped so that it could be used as stairs, staff said it could not - without further explanation. All in all, the staff tried absolutely nothing and they were all out of ideas. If I could have rebooked anywhere else in Crystal City, I would have moved on the first night of my stay. Beyond the escalator situation, the pillows were very uncomfortable. They are feather pillows that go flat very quickly. The furnishings are old and stained. One electrical outlet in my room was not flush with the wall. The rooms with doors to adjoining units leak sound badly. The pool doesn't exist, even though there are still references to it strewn about the hotel's website. There's not really an accessable entrance except by car. The sidewalks were not uniformly shoveled all the way around the building (even though it had stopped snowing days before I arrived). The sole shoveled pathway from Eads St to the lower lobby entrance was too narrow for ADA compliance.

Our flight out of BWI was cancelled, and we were rerouted through DCA. Because we had an early morning flight, we decided to go down to DC the night before. We booked online with Double Tree. Room was ok, service, location were very close to DCA. The Sky lounge was nice- food pretty good. My husband got a ribeye and said it was great. I got the gem salad with Salmon and it was decent, but salmon was a bit fishy. My main complaint is the constant smell of marijuana. I was awaken about 2am with such a strong smell I couldn’t sleep. It seemed to be everywhere in that hotel. That was the biggest drawback for me. I’m sure they can’t do anything about it, but it was bothersome, nonetheless.

This was an awesome visit for us. The price of the room was great to start with. The service I received as soon as we got there was excellent. The concierge was very helpful as soon as we got there. My son was going to the Lakers/Wizard game so I had some time to kill. I went to the Skydome which is their revolving restaurant. It was awesome to say the least. I also went into the gym to do a workout and was quite impressed with how much they had in there. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again.

We stayed here for 4 days for Christmas vacation 2025. The market place staff inside the hotel, (where they also serve breakfast ) were great, very friendly and helping. There is also a gift shop inside the hotel. Especially , the skydome on 15th floor is amazing!!! My son had booked dinner for Christmas eve. This was the best experience I ever had. You the see the entire DC monuments!. The service at this place was beyond explanation. We wanted vegetarian option, they specially made some vegetarian food for us. I can give more than 5 stars for skydome in particular in this hotel. I highly recommend anybody who visits DC to stay at this hotel. Our Manager Mr. Chandler was very friendly and helpful!. Horrible experience. Cookies were hard. HVAC in room ran all night although was set to auto. Room temp was a. Challenge. Place was dated and did not provide continental breakfast. Ice machine was not on floors. Vending machines are obsolete and the store closes at 10pm on site. Great that they had free shuttle to DCA Airport. Nice friendly staff.

???? I recently completed a five-day stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Washington DC - Crystal City, and it was a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel is quite elegant and boasts a fantastic, central location that makes getting around Arlington and DC very easy. The Highlights: Spacious Rooms: My room was notably large and kept very clean throughout my stay. Lovely Views: One of the best parts was the view from the room—absolutely lovely to wake up to. Excellent Service: The staff is incredibly friendly and provides great service from check-in to check-out. A Minor Drawback: Outdated Decor: While the room was comfortable, you can definitely feel that the decoration and the room itself are a bit old and outdated. It could use a modern refresh to match the elegance of the rest of the property. Despite the older feel of the rooms, the quality of service and the prime location make this a solid choice for a trip to the area.

Customer Service 5 Stars; 1 star removed due to rooms a little outdated but the view was AMAZING and all of the "snack/kitchen" areas closed so your only options is bottle water and the cookies from the desk. My best friend we gave her a 50th birthday party in the ballroom called Momentum ballroom. Josh the manager of security ensured our vehicles were safe to bring decorations and other items up to the ballroom. Marcos checked us in to our actual private room in 1 minute. Casey the beautiful African American manager she was gorgeous and so was her amazing energy she ensured everything was perfect for my best friends' 50TH.. thank you all Double Tree

The building is very old. It is not a comfortable feeling to stay in the room. No regular Hilton breakfast. Almost no water pressure in the sink (asked the neighbors, they had the same problem). The bathroom happened to have not enough towel racks (only one but inconvenient). The fridge did not work. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are low quality products or extensively chemical. It was very difficult to regulate the heat (too hot, or too cold). No additional blankets in the room. The view from the window was great and spectacular. The prices in the main market in the hotel were ridiculous (very expensive). The staff in the hotel was very polite and responsive. The closet doors are heavy and inconvenient (accidentally pinched my fingers between the handle and the other door when opening, the doors could not be closed properly). The safe did not work. The everyday room cleaning was great. The furniture in the room is old (like 15-20 years old) and not interesting decor.

Bugs, bugs, bugs. Stayed at this hotel for a business trip. Found several roaches in my hotel room. When I entered into my room Cheerios were present from previous occupants and unclean towels. In addition, several of my coworkers found roaches in their rooms too. I am extremely disappointed with my time here and will not be returning. I stayed in this hotel back in 2023 and it was kept up very well. I feel that the quality of this hotel has going down. Location of this hotel is great. But would not recommend staying here again.
