Me and my son had a best experience stay! surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which made our trip even better, our room was exceptionally clean, and the entire hotel was cleanest and well-maintained. We were happy. The view from our room was a million $ view, river, boats, city high-rise, Pentagon, bridge etc. Waking up and looking in the morning was absolutely beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and everything exceeded our expectations. The willowsong restaurant on the first floor the service and staff were excellent, I want to thank Bryan and Jose A for giving us the best service. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, great location, comfortable stay with million-dollar views!

My parents came to visit me in DC, and I specifically booked this InterContinental through Chase The Edit because I expected the elevated service and attention to detail that the program is known for. We booked a room with two queen beds, and the front desk assigned us a room on the 11th floor. While the view was beautiful, they never mentioned that the hotel's bar is located directly above on the 12th floor. The bar remained noisy well into the night, making it extremely difficult to sleep. My parents are elderly and particularly sensitive to noise, so what should have been a comfortable stay turned into a very disappointing experience. What frustrates me most is that this was entirely preventable. The front desk certainly knows which rooms are directly beneath the bar, yet no warning was given and no effort was made to assign us a quieter room at check-in. That level of oversight is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone an InterContinental participating in Chase The Edit. Although the hotel later guaranteed us a room transfer, it did not undo the sleepless night we had already endured. A room change after the damage is done is not a meaningful solution. I booked through Chase The Edit expecting a premium experience. Instead, I received poor room placement, a lack of transparency, and a disappointing first night. This experience fell well below the standards I expect from both InterContinental and the Chase The Edit program, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values a good night's sleep. I can't help but wonder whether this room was assigned because we booked through a third-party preferred program rather than directly with the hotel. If that's the case, it is deeply disappointing.

The staff at this hotel is outstanding. I have to thank Aiden for his amazing service. Apple Maps sent us down every wrong street at the wharf. After calling the hotel, Aiden ran to our car and directed us to the hotel by foot. He exemplifies the service here. Everything and everyone has been so lovely. I’d stay here a thousand times.

I celebrated my birthday with a one-night stay at the InterContinental Washington D.C. (June 6–7, 2026), and I can sincerely say it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I have had. From the moment we arrived, the level of care and professionalism shown by the staff set the tone for the entire stay. What stood out immediately was that a staff member was consistently positioned outside the entrance to greet us and open the doors. The rooftop pool was an absolute highlight. The setting was beautiful, well-maintained, and offered a wonderful escape right in the heart of the city. It was the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. Overall, the InterContinental Washington D.C. delivered exceptional hospitality in every sense of the word. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming experience in Washington D.C. We will absolutely be returning.

We stayed here for a family trip and would highly recommend!! Beautiful hotel, great restaurants, spacious rooms, cool rooftop pool and amazing service. Being right on the wharf is so slick - lots of really great restaurants all walkable. And close to get to all the nearby attractions (metro, bus and Uber). But my favorite part about our stay (besides awesome memories with my kids) was our amazing concierge Shujaat Khan. One of the kindest people I have had the opportunity to meet. He went above and beyond to help us pre plan a few special events throughout the week. He helped make all of our arrangements so easy and we’re forever grateful for the hospitality. He is a true gem!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the nicest staff. The lobby was so warm and welcoming. The check in was so easy and our rooms were so clean, comfortable and decorated beautifully. The location is perfect, right on the Wharf but also so close to many delicious restaurants, museums, and Capitol attractions. We enjoyed the Intercontinental so much we extended our stay for an extra night. We also loved how welcoming and helping all the staff were, but Aidan went above and beyond our expectation. Always so friendly and remembering our names and such attention to the details. We also enjoyed the Willowsong and the delicious food and had such a wonderful experience with Oscar, Jeremiah, and Edgar at the bar. They all made the best drinks and gave such great service. We highly recommend this hotel and we are already planning another trip back in the near future.

The Intercontinental is the best hotel in DC by far! The bartenders Oscar, Jeremiah, and Edgar at the lobby restaurant are absolutely amazing and always take good care of of us. Every time I come here I valet my car as well, Aziz makes sure the process is smooth and quick! Could not recommend staying here and eating at the restaurant more!!!

We sat and had a bite to eat and my boyfriend had a few drinks. Edgar saw that I wasn't drinking any alcoholic and made me a few mocktails which were delicious. Oscar whom they said was the barback was very much on point on top of everything very attentive and warm. Thats without saying he was very funny.
