This luxury property is consistently praised for its stunning historical architecture, impeccable service, and prime location, often described as the warmest welcome possible. Guests appreciate the opulent atmosphere and spacious suites, though a few reported struggles with room comfort and the valet parking costs.
Beautiful property and amazing location!!!! Hospitality is 5 stars. A must stay when in DC!
One of the best experiences ever. From rooms to dining and service. All were excellent. The hotel lobby is truly the anchor and has a grand sense of arrival. The service is great and the Peacock alley is a great place to sit and soak in the full aura and ambiance it to mention having some great meetings as well. Definitely a must see and a must stay.
Went to a one-day conference in their ballroom and explored the hotel a bit. I saw top notch service, top-notch refreshments and food, the staff was very professional. Very impressive place.
The Waldorf Astoria is simply stunning! The moment you step into the grand lobby, you're enveloped in timeless elegance. The soaring ceilings, intricate chandeliers, and sophisticated decor create an ambiance of pure luxury. It's the perfect blend of classic charm and modern sophistication. The attention to detail is impeccable, and the service throughout the hotel matches the beauty of its surroundings. Whether you're there for a stay or just to admire the stunning architecture, the Waldorf Astoria never disappoints.
What an amazing experience I had. They only cons was the high priced valet parking and the bed was a little too hard for me. But when I say this is a must experience for yourself, it is. The staff was topnotch. No complaints at all. Everything truly was first class. I didn't have a chance to visit the restaurant on premises, but I am planning another trip soon and look forward to a full experience. However, the food served at the event was very delicious. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend.
Wow. The building is amazing and the rooms are equally amazing. Luxurious, comfortable, inviting.. everything you want from a room. Service is impeccable. Absolutely everyone goes out of their way to make sure you're well taken care of. From the moment you pull in, you know you're in good hands. Location: right next to everything and only minutes away from the airport. It's about as perfect a location as you can get. We will be back and will recommend it to anyone who'll listen.
I had an issue with booking my room where I was totally at fault, but the hotel staff were so kind and accommodating the whole time. The hotel was so lovely and they brought my bags up to my room. The bath and the room itself were all clean and better than expected. They even came around before bed and gave us more Evian water and chocolates. The only thing that would've made it the best hotel ever were comfier pillows! ?
Hilton diamond member. Stayed one night here at the Waldorf Astoria and was upgraded to a junior suite. The hotel itself was in a great location in the old post office pavilion. Atrium was really beautiful. Hotel overall appears to be well kept. Room was spacious, clean, orderly, and very ornate but with some pros and cons. Window shades were motorized which was nice. The seating room was very very cold. You could feel a draft coming in from outside. Some of the room designs are a bit too gaudy for me, especially the chandeliers and wall sconces in the rooms. It's also unclear what all the light switches on the walls are for and it appeared that if the chandelier switch wasn't on none of the other light switches would work. We guessed that this switch was the master light which didn't make sense, but dimming lamps were available in the room and those were nice to have. Bathroom toiletries were high quality and smelled great, and the bathroom was light and bright. Shower was also really enjoyable. Bedding was soft but pillows were too thin and made for a bit of an uncomfortable nights sleep for us which was unfortunate. Service overall we felt was very good, but there were a few items to note. The doormen were never present to open the doors for us which we thought was odd. Also, at check in the desk agent gave us room options and said we could view the rooms. He took us to a room that he said was unoccupied and available for us but soon we realized it wasn't which was a bit embarrassing. The desk agent did give us a complimentary bottle of champagne however to make up for that situation so that was great. Room service menu prices are a bit excessive but it's not surprising overall for a Waldorf Astoria. In the end, it was a decent experience but I would probably elect to try another property in the area if given the opportunity.
