The Days Inn by Wyndham Washington DC/Connecticut Avenue offers a budget-friendly option in a convenient location near the Metro. While some guests praise its cleanliness and helpful staff, significant concerns regarding security, cleanliness issues, and hidden fees persist throughout recent reviews.

Great location, easy to metro or bus on the red line, room was super clean. It's a great price for a basic hotel in a fantastic location. The service by everyone there was great, especially the ladies at the front desk in the mornings! I came early in the morning and had to check my luggage and change to go straight to a work conference. The ladies at the front were so accommodating and sweet, and I loved chatting with them. If you are looking for a budget friendly (NOT luxury) hotel that's in a great spot and is nice and clean, this is probably the best spot in D.C.

This place is ok. Smelled like weed in the room. Was supposed to be near non smoking rooms. Also a man attempted to come into our room while we were sleeping at around 1 in the morning. Scared me and my sibling half to death. Couldn’t call the front desk from the phone in the room it just kept ringing. Had to call from our personal phones and they would answer. No security was sent to check on us. We’re were fine it was our last night but we do get through it. Other than that room was clean, the house keepers kept the room clean and no other complaints.

We chose this purely for its location to our family members apartment. There was NO coffee service. No cups in rooms. There was an ice bucket and a safe. Funky smell once we got off the elevator. The beds were clean. Housekeeping was very sweet. Building is old.

Before i checked in i was looking at the bad reviews and i was very anxious to be here honestly, but then when i checked in and got into my room i was very happy. Everything was clean and spotless. Service was 10/10, room was 10/10, bed was 10/10, carpet was 10/10, bathroom was 10/10 and it was honestly a good and very very clean room. I rlly recommend this hotel to anybody coming to washington it has a very good location and a very low price. The only thing to watch out for is theres a $25 parking fee but what do you expect with parking in a big city, a lot of parking is expensive. And hotels in big cities usually do that anyways. My advice dont believe the bad reviews in here. book and you will be happy.

(Reviewing for a friend who stayed here but helped them with checking in.) Do not stay here if you are disabled. Rooms are not ADA compliant for "accessible" rooms. Whole hotel smells like cigarettes and urine and is very dark. Front desk staff are useless. They make you call the manager who is never on property, so you don't actually talk to anyone. Don't waste your money here.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE A SOLO FEMALE TRAVELER. I did not feel safe here at all. One of the days I was there, the "maintenance man" walked into my room while I was inside. He SAW ME go into the room from the hallway and still went in, knowing I was in there alone!! My "do not disturb" sign was on the handle, and he physically unlocked BOTH locks on the door to come in. I called the manager, and she laughed it off and said he was just trying to install a mini-fridge in the room. If he really wanted to do that, he could've asked when we saw each other in the hallway, instead of coming into my room without my permission. I never requested a fridge, and after thay scary experience, I DEFINITELY would not want that man coming in for that. I had to take my valuables with me every time I left the room because I was afraid of leaving them there after that happened. I was reading the reviews, and this has already happened to other people (dating back to a YEAR ago), so the hotel does not care about this CREEPY MAN working for them. The only reason I chose this place was because it was conveniently close to where I had to be for business. For the price, you don't even get a fridge or a microwave, and the safe doesn't work. Please DO NOT stay here. Your safety is more valuable than the convenience, or saving a few bucks. I am happy I left safely with all my belongings, but I would NEVER stay here again.

For the price I'd highly recommend this hotel. The room was very nice and clean. They don't do cleaning every day which i had no problems with. Although at times it almost appeared as if they did. Always fresh towels and toiletries. Two double beds fresh white linens and three stuffed pillows on each. A very nice tv ?. Excellent location just a couple blocks from the Metro ? grocery stores would love to have a mini fridge and a small coffee maker however coffee is in the lobby. There's a few restaurants in the are with one in the same building. I dp plan another visit to Washington DC and I'm positive I'll stay here again.

Convenient location. That’s the only good thing about this cesspool of a “hotel”. The lobby was disgusting someone had spilled a big container of something last night before we arrived at 10 PM, it was still there at 7 AM. Parking? A joke. They’re charging $25 a day for a completely open lot, no cameras, no lights. The entire building reeks of marijuana and cigarettes. The toilet makes this pound, random noise every four minutes. They do not have a microwave or fridge in the room, do not offer any time of food or beverages. For $110 a night, it’s actually ridiculous. The real kicker was the $50 secret deposit they do not mention on their website or on the phone during booking. It is completely separate from the actual charges for the room, and front seat couldn’t explain what it was for or why they have it, just that I will get it back after check out but who knows. I don’t mind the outdated room. But I do mind the disgusting environment, shady extra charges and lack of care through the building.

The outward appearance of the hotel was dingy, however when you entered the building it smelt nice and the staff was welcoming. Security was a highlight as you had to use your key card to use the elevator. Our room, on the second floor was small and unkept. The shower curtain would creep open throughout the experience of having water poured on you from a flowering can. While trying to wash with very little water pressure and the opening of the curtain on both sides the bathroom was very tiny, so turning around or even getting dressed was like trying to get a law passed by congress. The bed had plenty of pillows but beware, the bed is as comfortable as sleeping on bedrock they found on the flintstones. We did not see many workers but we did experience college kids who probably attended one of the many universities around, they were polite and friendly. Overall if you’re not worried about showers, sleeping, or comfort this is the place for you!

Stayed there for 2 nights. When booking the room, there is nothing noted about $25 a day for parking. There was a $50 deposit charged that was also never mentioned at the front desk. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and the first morning we had someone try and break into our room & when we called the front desk, they had no concerns and told us it was the maintenence man but he must've been deaf. He had no name tag and was not dressed professionally at all while trying to shove a card into the side of the door to "fix a safe". The shower had terrible water pressure & once it was shut off it continously leaked. If you're gonna spend over $100 a night to stay somewhere, choose somewhere else. It'll be worth it.
