I had the opportunity to stay here during a meeting this week and was very pleasant. The staff was awesome (very friendly and professional- especially the lady who checked me in and helped to get my items after the meeting). The rooms appear recently renovated, were very clean. The location is very convenient in NW DC. The rooms are a bit small (as is a renovated historic building) and parking is down the street from the hotel at 1 Franklin Square. Compared to other hotels that are very expensive, this is an economical option that you will not be disappointed.

I had the pleasure of staying at this location and was delighted to have some of the best customer service in the history of staying at hotels. Each staff member was pleasant, flexible, and accommodating. The room was clean and adequate for me stay, but my only recommendation is to update the water system for hotter water, especially in the morning. The breakfast was good and sufficient each morning. I would definitely stay at this location again should I stay in DC again. #FiveStarsPlus

Awesome location and customer service was top notch. Every person at the front desk greeted us as soon as we walked in. They had coffee, lemon water, cookies and tea on standby for people. Not to mention the breakfast buffet had many options and saved us from going out . The hotel room was clean and they changed the towels everyday, and added soap and stuff. Most hotel fitness centers have just a treadmill, but this one had a whole weight set, treadmills and pulley machines. It was nice. The price was affordable and you get lots of bsng for your buck. This hotel is the highlight of our trip. The rooms seemed sound proof because we didn't think there were a lot of people there. But when I went in the hall I learned there was a baby next door, couldn't tell. I liked the whole environment. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Good value for money. The hotel has a gym and a laundry area available for guests, which was very convenient. The staff were super nice and welcoming. The location is close to major attractions but still quiet, making it easy to get around while getting a good night’s sleep. The only downside was that the shower pressure was quite low, and there were no exhaust fans in the bathroom. Overall, it was still a good stay. Breakfast was decent.

I am writing this to highlight the incredible service I recently received at this Comfort Inn. I have stayed at many different hotel chains, but I always find myself coming back to the Comfort Inn, and this most recent stay reminded me exactly why. From the second I walked through the door, the staff was remarkably accommodating. I arrived a bit earlier than expected, and instead of making me wait, the front desk team went out of their way to expedite my check-in so I could settle in and relax. Throughout my stay, every request from extra towels to local dining recommendations was handled with a genuine smile and a "can-do" attitude. You know exactly what you’re going to get: a clean, modern room, a peaceful night's sleep, and a hot breakfast that actually has great variety. But beyond the amenities, it’s the people that make the difference. They treat you like a guest in a home rather than just a reservation number. I left feeling refreshed and truly valued. I will absolutely be returning for my next trip and would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a stress-free, high-quality stay. My favourite hotel to stay in in DC. - The hotel staff are amazingly friendly and accommodating! - The gym is pretty well equipped - v. good selection of weights, 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals and a multi-purpose weights thing. - Coffee available basically all the time - Comfy beds and actually pretty decent wifi speeds even on the basic level - Everything is clean! - Great location! Easy walks to Convention Center, Whitehouse and to multiple metro stations This obviously isn't a 5 star hotel - they haven't wasted money making everything huge and fancy looking and they don't charge for that - but if you're looking for value it's easily 5 stars. Will very happily stay again, and again :)

Old hotel. Furniture and carpet has not been change since the building was changed from an apartment to a hotel. The bathroom is extremely small and outdated. No room for toiletries. They charged $270 per night when the hotel rate is normally $92 which matches the old out of date rooms. We couldn't enjoy watching the TV since the hotel has dish. The hotel could get cable to compensate for the other inconveniences

Breakfast deserves separate mentioning. It was very nice and tasteful all the time I stayed there. Waffles were just amazing! Everything you need for a fresh start of the day!

5 stars overall for the quality of service. What this place lacks in amenities, it more than makes up for in the charm and personal touch from the staff. Especially Abby who supervises the morning breakfast room. She remembered me and my dietary restrictions multiple days in a row and immediately offered to make me some chicken sausage patties as I can’t eat pork. She’s such a sweet lady, speaks fondly of her children and her pride in them, and works so hard to make sure everyone has a good experience. Give this woman a raise!

This has been by far the WORSE experience of my life. I decided to stay there as it was in close proximity to the convention I was attending & its parking amenities. However, their parking is several blocks away and $10/day with a coupon and an additional $10 each time you leave the garage (so if you leave for lunch and come back, it’s $10 and if you then go to dinner and come back it’s also $10). To add insult to injury, when I arrived at the hotel, I was told there was a duplicate reservation, to which I told them had to be an error & they would cancel as it was a duplicate reservation & I only booked one room. Well, evidently there was another egregious error in which the hotel management claims I had a THIRD reservation for the next day & I was a “no-show”. Upon checking out, I was given the receipt for the two nights that I stayed and at no point in time was I notified of this additional room charge - the only reason I even found this error was because I looked at my credit card statement. When I called to resolve the issue, management claims that I was a no call, no show, when clearly, I stayed at their premises for two nights & say that per their policy, I am responsible for paying for the room that I was a no call, no show for. This all feels like a scam to me! Beware of hotels like this. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
