Guests consistently praise the spacious, comfortable suites that allow for self-catering, as well as the friendly service and excellent, varied breakfast. Some visitors note minor inconsistencies in the website's amenity information and that the Southern-style breakfast buffet can become chaotic and run out of food early in its service window.
The customer service was fantastic! Everyone was so helpful & friendly… we arrived later than expected & the woman on late night was very friendly and welcoming… I wish I had gotten her name ! Brionna @ the front desk was wonderful this morning. Also very kind friendly and helpful… Much appreciated during these crazy times. Great location and clean room rooms. Would stay here again !
Rooms are very spacious and very comfortable, though a bit dated. Convenient location. Service was excellent. The managers reception on Wednesday evening and each days breakfast were above average and the staff are very attentive to their jobs and their patrons. I would use this hotel again.
This review is primarily for the breakfast buffet. This is yet another evidence that we Americans know how to do breakfast right. Really? Really! 1. The fresh brewed coffee is already strong and has the wake-you-up aroma. But you’re also given 5 choices for creamer: milk, half n’ half, almond milk, hazelnut non-dairy and French vanilla non-dairy. 2. Chicken carnitas tacos for breakfast no less. How wonderful does that sound. Complete with salsa, cheddar, cream cheese, red onion, Tabasco.
We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The room is fully equipped with everything you need — there is even a stove and a dishwasher. For those who don’t like eating out, it’s possible to cook your own meals. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was so complete, nutritious, and delicious that my husband and I were very satisfied and full.
Nice value hotel in downtown DC. Room was clean and spacious - pretty much what I expected. However, a couple minor inconsistencies with information listed on the website. 1. Didn’t ask about late checkout but there is at least some fee for early check-in if you arrive super early which I would say is reasonable, just isn’t listed. Seems before 1 PM is a $50 charge and after 1 PM is no extra fee. 2. The QR code near the TV listing channel information says there is Netflix streaming capabilities and there is not - the TVs are not smart TVs which was a bit surprising for me although not too big of an issue for me personally. Breakfast was from 6-9 am which surprised me, being used to having it served until 10 am and which may have contributed to lots of chaos around 8 am. Things would very frequently run out. Not a major issue, just much more chaotic than I have experienced at most hotels hence the decrease from a 5 star to a 4 star. Overall still a nice hotel. Enjoyed the spaciousness of the rooms characteristic of a Homewood Suites apartment style, the layout and having 2 TVs so that I could watch TV in the sort of living room/kitchenette area at random hours without disturbing my partner.
Great hotel! Would stay here again. Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and it was clean, comfortable, quiet, and plenty of room for a couple or small family. Staff was friendly and helpful. Variety of items for breakfast. Really needs waffle makers or pancake machine available. Although, finding the hotel entrance was confusing. We mostly used Uber drivers to get around and 6 of 8 missed the entrance as well. The one thing that I wasn't a fan of is that there is no room service or restaurant on the property. After walking around D.C. all day I was missing that amenity.
