This well-equipped, spacious suite offers comfortable accommodations in the heart of DC with a full kitchen and convenient access to public transit. Guests consistently report high satisfaction with cleanliness and the dedicated on-site staff who provide excellent service, though challenges with the remote customer service contact experience are frequently noted.
After some confusing texts with their Bot, we are satisfied with how well old school hospitality works. It takes humans. We were very well accommodated and feel we can say the Mint House is a place you can comfortably be in the middle of the city at what are usually good advance purchase rates. But we were surprised at simple things like a room change in the same price category could not be done for less than an additional $189.00.?? I think KASA can continue to improve it's remote customer service approach. They have farmed out their customer service front end to a Bot and the remote customer service reps we finally spoke to seemed in training. The staff at the actual hotel saved the day and we had another great stay. We've been here at least seven times and while there are little glitches from here to there, the stay is good, the staff at the Mint House Is great and in spite of KASA Central, the actual hotel is well located, safe and on-advance purchase, a person on a budget can make it work. Forget the Bot. But about the Bot,... its a polite Bot but really it'just a Bot. But it all worked out well in the end. Recommended
We have spent a couple of days at Mint House. The room is very clean. The kitchen is equipped with what you need to cook the meal. The employees are committed and very friendly and polite. The location is in the center of the city. Very convenient to use public transport as bus and metro stations are at a walk distance even with a 4yo toddler.
Our room was great! Even had a washer and dryer which was a pleasant surprise. We slept great and had ample space. Would definitely book a stay there again. The parking was a bit difficult, but the front desk had a recommendation that was close and helpful.
Wow!! Luxurious and super clean room. All the amenities you’d want and more. Not sure if they did have local tv or cable, I was able to download and log into my YouTubeTV account on the Roku smart tv. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. They put earplugs on each side of the bed, didn’t know why at first. In the morning it was noise coming from machinery outside. I could also hear the people above us walking, taking and playing music. Thin floors I guess. Overall I would stay here again.
Stayed this past weekend at Mint House in DC and loved it. Location was easy access by Lyft/Uber from train, a short ride from Union Station. Nearby places for food, drinks, and pharmacy in walking distance. The check-in process was easy and the rooms/mini apartments were beautiful. I stayed in a 1 bedroom unit and if I could I'd move in permanently. The room felt like a home away from home.....a full kitchen, living/dining space, separate bedroom, and full bathroom. I did not get to explore the gym or workspace, but I definitely plan to return for a longer stay. One thing I noticed, there is no phone in the apartment style unit. You use your personal mobile if need to call front desk. I also could not figure out how to get the ice maker to work, but it was not a big deal for an overnight trip. The heater can be a little loud to some, but it didn't disrupt my sleep, so I did not mind. Overall...I would recommend and definitely return for a longer stay.
