One Washington Circle DC offers a stylish stay in the heart of Washington, D.C., praised for its convenient location and comfortable accommodations. While many guests highlight the friendly staff and overall positive experience, some note issues with noise levels and room service. The hotel's luxurious atmosphere and proximity to attractions make it a popular choice, though room upgrades and amenities can come with additional fees.
The hotel is nice ENOUGH. Location is great. Everything was clean. To me though, it was just Ok. I tend to stay in 5 star hotels though so that might be what has me not completely satisfied. There was no robe or slippers in the room, it was hard to get water and ice (I'm a big water drinker), ordering room service was unsuccessful (i ended up getting Uber eats), and my room didn't get serviced. They did come to do my room later that afternoon, but i had just had a medical procedure and just wanted to sleep at that point. Restaurant staff was superb and they made very good lattes. Valet can take a while so plan ahead for that. Omg it is soooo noisy. Maybe because the hospital is nearby but there is ALWAYS a siren going by or someone laying on the horn. The hvac in the room is also very loud. But hotel is pretty, bed was comfy, staff was very pleasant, but not sure i would stay again. Oh and the bathroom isn't my favorite BUT the shower was very hot and had good pressure. That's important.
This was by far one of the best hotels I’d ever stayed in. The room was immaculately clean, extremely spacious, and brightly lit. The overall aesthetics was 11/10 with its beautiful interior design and the background music on TV which was already playing when I got into the room. Better yet, the location was perfect with many restaurants, grocery stores, and even the metro within walking distance. What’s more, the staff were super friendly and helpful. One of them even provided me with a whole list of shops, dining spots, and even post offices nearby so I could easily find whatever I was looking for. Hopefully one day they’ll have on-site convenience store/hotel shop and complimentary breakfast for even better experience but that’s just me being picky. All in all, highly recommend this hotel if you’re in the area! I can’t wait to stay here again on a sunny day.
Everything about our stay was lovely. Highly recommend for a getaway or longer term stay-it was very clean, quiet and peaceful. The staff was kind and genuinely welcoming across the board throughout our stay, from the valet/doormen, front desk staff, manager, to the housekeeping staff. I expected it to be nice, but it really exceeded my expectations. The 1BR suite was SO comfortable and had a great balcony with seating. Loved the Nespresso and other hospitality details provided. We will definitely return here. The restaurant in the hotel was good, but the neighborhood is also full of excellent restaurants and cafes too, and it’s an easy walk to Georgetown.
We had a great 2 night stay here. The staff was great and very professional. Our room was very nice and we loved the balcony. 1 thing I think that would've made our stay just a tiny bit more comfortable would have been slippers with the robes. We personally don't like wearing our shoes around the hotel room so some slippers would've have been perfect. Also we weren't the biggest fans of their not being a door for the shower. Other than those 2 small things we thought everything was perfect. The location is great with a lot of good spots within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.
A truly exceptional experience. The property was clean, quiet, and very well maintained. Every interaction with the staff was positive and professional. The room offered great comfort and attention to detail, making it easy to unwind. The entire stay felt effortless and enjoyable from beginning to end.
Oh my GOSH - this hotel is everything. We come to DC often and have stayed at dozens of hotels, however AKA will be the first property we become regulars at. The service here is unmatched, they upgraded us AND left a note and champagne for my husband’s birthday, room service was excellent, the overall service was top tier and the accommodations were luxurious. The breakfast in-room was fabulous, and every person we interacted with was so incredibly kind and thoughtful. We booked via AMEX travel and will be coming back here when we travel here in the summer. Thank you to the management and amazing staff at AKA! Additionally - the gym was great, and had fantastic basics for a good workout.
Very easy to get to or direct drivers to the hotel. Wonderful service in the lobby. Employees opening doors, saying hello and great advice. Rooms are beautiful and view from the windows are gorgeous. Only notes are no kitchenette so no microwave, plates, cutlery and the showers are beautiful but the pressure isn’t there. Overall a wonderful hotel with great amenities like a bar, restaurant, gym and beautiful rooms.
AKA Hotel Washington Circle was an absolute lifesaver during what turned into a very stressful and unexpected stay. Because an off-site public parking garage was not cleared even three days after a snowstorm, we were unable to retrieve our vehicle and were effectively stranded in DC despite all surrounding areas being cleared. Throughout all of this, the team at AKA went truly above and beyond. The front desk staff was nothing short of amazing — kind, patient, professional, and genuinely supportive every step of the way. They even lent us shovels so we could attempt to manually dig ourselves out of the garage, which speaks volumes about how willing they are to help their guests in any way possible. When it became clear we needed to extend our stay, they graciously accommodated two additional nights without issue, which removed a huge amount of stress from an already difficult situation. The hotel itself is excellent. The rooms are very spacious, spotless, and comfortable, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional. The attached restaurant was another highlight — the food and drinks were delicious and a perfect way to unwind after long days dealing with travel issues. If you’re staying in Washington, DC or the foggy bottom area and want a hotel that truly cares about its guests, AKA Hotel Washington Circle is an outstanding choice. Exceptional service, beautiful accommodations, and a team that shows up when it matters most. Highly, highly recommend.
The staff was helpful, with anything that was needed . The rooms are wonderful. The location is honestly great! Walking distance to everything really. The hotel was clean and comfortable . The temperature in the room was perfect . Went when it was on the colder side and the room was warm and perfect . Lobby great space . The valet was nice. Would go back to the hotel .
We really enjoyed our stay at The a.k.a. Washington Circle. The staff was super helpful and pleasant. The hotel was in immaculate condition and it was a good value for a luxury hotel. We reserved through AMEX and the fees were well documented up front so no surprises, even though they are annoying for sure. Just include “fees” in the price of the room for Pete’s sake, no one enjoys the games. Although to be fair when I went back on the AMEX site to look at reserving again there were no fees, so maybe they finally listened. Who knows, it’s corporate America, logic is usually not part of the equation. Anyway, I digress, it was a great hotel with a great staff and a great location if you’re headed for foggy bottom. Thank you Hotel AKA Washington Circle staff for making our stay so pleasant!
