great and safe location. design of the hotel and the rooms is awesome. recommend bringing our own ice or mini fan since their AC don’t work. the rooms are so hot without the AC. their breakfast it’s not good enough. not a lot of options of food.

Rooms are great efficient use of space. We had marble bathrooms that’s renovated. Beds comfortable. Kind staff that prepares free breakfast and free wine and cheese in afternoon. Kalorama is so calm, stately and elegant. Walking distance to Adams Morgan and DuPont for restaurants and nightlife

The hotel had a major aesthetic vibe to it loved the lobby area with a chess table; down side was the front desk never had anyone at it when I needed them but overall hotel is beautiful it's small especially for someone who is 6"2. But overall hotel amazing breakfast was lovely and the rooms are incredible for my first time in Washington hotel was truly remarkable!

Our stay here was disturbing. First, they checked us in and sent us to our room. When we opened the door it was immediately obvious it was occupied. THEY GAVE US A KEY TO AN OCCUPIED ROOM. Woops, wrong floor! This is an enormous safety issue that should literally be impossible. Deadbolt lock your doors when you stay at normandy. Then the room, a suite. The best room they have. The trim was peeling off the walls. The microwave didn't work. Several bulbs in lamps were burnt out, and one lamp flickered and hissed like a fire was about to start. The TV Chromecast system didnt work for 3 different devices. The wifi was very weak, kept disconnecting. The carpet was so dirty, it turned my baby's feet black from crawling on it. The sink was stuck on. If i paid 100 bucks, sure, its hotel stuff. This was not a cheap night stay. Lastly- the front desk was extremely rude when I brought this stuff to their attention, even after filling an entire sheet of paper with things that need attention in the room. No apology, no compensation or refund, "just what do you expect us to do?" Dont stay with these stingy folks. It's not far from a scam that they are charging the prices they do.

Good size clean rooms. Prompt room service. Friendly staff. Close enough to the sites but far enough from the crowded downtown area to be perfect for visitors to the city. I would stay here again.

Love the hotel and the room. Super nice and relaxing. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for an easy stay to and a complete upper class vibe to stay here. Highly recommend!

We booked a room and were very surprised because the hotel is a 3-star hotel but the hotel was very clean, the room was for 2 adults and 2 children, the service was great and pleasant, in the morning we had breakfast which included a great selection! Thank you very much for your service, next time we would like to come back to you??

Very good hotel for it's price. Rooms are clean enough for an US hotel. Nice staff, nice lobby with coffee and tea. Rooms has iron and hair dryer, TV and working desk.

The room is hot, the heat is always running.you have to keep the window open a crack for relief. With the window open at night the sounds of cars and people partying is loud and hard to sleep so then you shut your window and it is now too hot. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The location is a couple of blocks fromy conference so that is helpful.

We visited The Normandy as part of a school trip and the experience was incredible! The building and rooms are charming, the location is ideal (close to so many great restaurants), and the standout part of our stay was the service. Staff worked to remember our names, paid careful attention to detail and saw needs ahead of time, and were truly the most attentive and caring people we encountered on our trip.
