Recent reviews of The Westin Arlington reveal a mixed experience, with notable cleanliness and location concerns alongside isolated positive feedback. While some guests praised the hotel’s comfort and staff friendliness, particularly regarding exceptional service from staff like Lydia, persistent issues such as room noise, malfunctioning amenities, and security lapses have led to significant dissatisfaction and even early checkouts. The property’s value proposition appears to be questionable given the reported issues.

A little disappointed. A bunch of little things made the trip just ok and a feeling of not needing to stay there again. 1. I'm a Platinum member, we asked to checkout at 4, the guy at the desk said the latest we could checkout was 3pm, I said ok but then they couldn't rekey my cards. 2. Restaurant closed at 11pm on Sat but they had already made last call for food and drinks at 10:38. 4. I asked for a map or recommendations, the lady said they didn't have a map and told me to Google options. 5. Best part was housekeeping, we needed extra towels and them came immediately. 6. Beds are small - two full size beds not Queens. Pillows were comfortable.

The room was clean it and was a nice hotel. It was perfect for my son’s soccer tournament. However, I paid quite a bit for a high floor handicap accessible room as this was all that was left on my travel website. As I booked this for my son’s soccer tournament, but couldn’t attend due to illness. My older son checked in for us & we did not receive the handicap room. He didn’t mind, but I had paid the extra cost.

Major safety and privacy concerns during my recent stay. I ended up checking out a day early because of how stressful the experience was. Due to a system outage at check-in almost a midnight, the front desk gave me a key to an occupied room. I walked in on a sleeping couple, which was incredibly alarming and potentially dangerous—the occupant actually chased me out of the room in a panic until I could explain the front desk's mistake. The second room they tried to put me in was also occupied. The third room was finally empty, but had a broken AC. To make matters worse, at 1:30 AM, someone else tried to enter my room. Thankfully, I had engaged the physical deadbolt. I spent the rest of my trip anxious, unable to sleep, and worried about leaving my belongings in the room during the day. Tech issues happen, but sending strangers into occupied rooms is a massive security failure. To top it all off, despite this completely unacceptable experience and cutting my trip short, they still charged me full resort fees at checkout.

I travel to Arlington monthly for work, and my December stay was my third stay at this Westin in the past three months. Unfortunately, this visit was marked by multiple issues: 1. Room placement: I was assigned a room on the 9th floor directly off the elevator and next to the ice machine. It was extremely loud. 2. Phones not functioning: I was awakened multiple times throughout the night by noise from guests exiting the elevator. When I attempted to call the front desk, neither phone in the room worked. 3. Unsanitary shower: The shower floor was visibly dirty and contained hair from a previous guest — completely unacceptable for a property of this level. 4. Heating issues: The room’s heat would not rise above 68 degrees, making the space uncomfortably cold. 5. Vent cleanliness: One of the vents in the room had black residue all over it, raising additional concerns about cleanliness and air quality. When I checked out, I shared these issues with the front desk and was told the matter would be addressed. To date, no follow-up has occurred and no additional points have been added to my account. This is not the first issue I’ve experienced at this property. During a stay in October, my television was not working. I notified the front desk that morning, but when I returned after a full day of work, nothing had been done; maintenance ultimately had to replace the entire TV that evening. The lack of customer service and attention to detail across these stays is incredibly disappointing. My husband and I stay across the full portfolio of Marriott brands — including lower-tier properties — and this has been among the worst experiences we have ever had at a Marriott hotel.

This is definitely not a four-star hotel. The fitness center is lacking. Although the main area of the room was nice the bathroom was abysmal. The P-trap in the tub isn't working and was venting sewer gas into the bathroom. The tub commode configuration is ridiculous. It makes it impossible to move around in that area. The telephones did not work in the facility and the Wi-Fi required a code to access yet I never received the code at check-in. The staff in the restaurant were very nice, but I was served a raw hamburger. The person next to me, decided not to eat at the restaurant and left the hotel to eat elsewhere. The bar staff was nice enough to offer a discount on the check for serving me a raw hamburger, which I appreciated, but then at checkout, they charged me the full price for the meal. I generally have a much better experience at Westin properties. When I asked to provide feedback to a manager so they can improve their service, there wasn't one available. I was told they would be available the next afternoon. I was leaving for the airport in the morning. Maybe they will review this feedback and make some positive changes.

I want to give a big thank you to our amazing server, Lidya. She helped us during lunch and also took wonderful care of us at my cousin’s wedding on Sunday night, and again at the wedding breakfast on Monday morning. The breakfast was especially challenging because it was very busy with no buffet, only menu orders but Lidya handled everything with so much grace and professionalism. She was incredibly attentive, fast, and make sure every table was taken care of. Her positive attitude and hard work made our experience truly wonderful. Thank you, Lidya, for going above and beyond! Highly recommended.

“Lydia’s Warm Welcome Made Our Stay Unforgettable!” Lydia in the restaurant was absolutely amazing! She was exceptional and so sweet, genuine, and welcoming every time we visited. You can tell she truly loves her job and takes pride in making every guest feel special. The entire restaurant staff was fantastic, and the evening bartender deserves special mention as well, he never forgot our preferred drinks and had an incredible depth of knowledge to share. Our room was comfortable, spotless, and had all the amenities needed for a fabulous stay. Every team member we interacted with was friendly and professional. You truly have an outstanding team here,it shows in every detail.

Everything about this hotel is fantastic! The rooms are very clean and relaxing. The bed was so comfortable along with the pillows. I enjoyed the view out to the city. Made for a great backdrop. Everyone I encountered was friendly and happy to assist me. Location is prime to a lot of things within walking distance for food and shopping along with quick need items. I would recommend anyone stay here.

I had a fantastic stay at The Westin! From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff provided outstanding service—friendly, professional, and incredibly welcoming. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and they went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend The Westin for anyone looking for top-notch hospitality and a great overall experience. I’ll definitely be returning!

I had a good stay through my conference, and although there were some issues with my parking, it was quickly addressed. Mega went out of his way to understand, and address my situation. The staff at the restaurant are excellent as well. I went in for breakfast (thinking it was included) and was told I had to pay (which I was fine doing) but they went out of the way to get a breakfast voucher for me. The staff in this hotel are top notch.
