The Quincy Hotel receives generally positive reviews, highlighting its convenient location, spacious rooms with well-equipped kitchens, and friendly staff. However, several guests have reported issues with billing inaccuracies, room odors, and elevator functionality, suggesting potential inconsistencies in service and upkeep. Recent reviews emphasize the importance of vigilance regarding hotel charges.
These people won’t let you see why people gave 3/5 or 1/5 ratings because they block it so you can’t see the truth the whole review and only see the good reviews. Soooo MESSED UP and not fair for the world to see every review! It’s a wonderful place to stay but WATCH EVERY TRANSACTION AND CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD OFTEN FOR EXTRA CHARGES!!! When I paid for my hotel the total included deposit and then had a separate $100 deposit. So first night they charged $200 deposit when it’s suppose to be $100. Then my dog had an accident and text said they would charge $200 and they charged $220 and don’t know how to type $200. Third error was they charged me $200 because they missed they charged me $220 already for dog poop. So not once, not twice, but three times they have miss charged me. It’s a great place to stay but stresses a person out with them being shady and doing sneaky charges. Responding to the manager. I know it’s a $100 refundable deposit. I’m not an idiot. You guys charged $1126 and then did another transaction right after that of $100. So $100 plus $100 is $200. I immediately went down to front desk to show them their FIRST ERROR!!!! Then you guys tried to con me out of $20 extra dollars for dog incident for SECOND ERROR!!! Then before I check out you guys charge the $200 for dog now charging me $420 for THIRD ERROR! You guys absolutely suck and scam artists at your very expensive hotel. Been to 5 other hotels on my big trip and no issues except with this hotel. I got all my deposit refunds right away and it’s still not fully showing credit on my credit card almost a week over. I will continue to let people know about what you did to a single mom stressing her out where she saved money to come to DC with her kids and you did this shady garbage! Also, I have called multiple times dealing with this matter and asking to talk to the manager and still haven’t got that accomplished. You guys for 3 ERRORS should be giving something for the garbage you put me through messing up my trip budget being people who don’t know how to double check numbers when charging people but you guys have zero heart for YOUR MISTAKES! I have now given you a worse review then before with your manger comment making me sound stupid in public.
I enjoyed my stay at The Quincy. The rooms have the basic necessities, plus a kitchen with a refrigerator, a microwave, a sink, and basic plates and utensils. The hotel is in a convenient location. You can walk to just about anything from the hotel. At least two different train stations are close by. There can be a little city noise. But honestly, it wasn't that bad. Plus, that's pretty much expected when you stay in a metro area. I'd definitely stay here again.
Close to a metro station and close enough to a few places to eat if you arrive late. Good size updated room and amazing galley kitchen with bar seating and the basics for a quick meal. A full sized refrigerator. There's a restaurant bar downstairs, a small cozy lobby, friendly staff, free popcorn and a hot cocoa bar, at least in January. Clean, straight forward, and comfortable. You get a text checking on your stay the first morning after arrival. This was helpful because I didn't find the blackout shade tucked up high behind the curtains. Would stay there again.
Stayed at the The Quincy Hotel for a recent business trip and was pleasantly surprised, especially since I usually stay at the AC. The entrance is not the fanciest, but the staff is genuinely lovely, and the location is very central and convenient. The rooms were the real highlight. I basically had a mini studio apartment. Extremely spacious, with a kitchenette, a mini walk in closet, and a smaller but very clean bathroom. Overall, a great stay, and I would definitely come back.
Very well located. Super clean!! Hooray for that! Nice little kitchenette in the room that came in handy. Street noise is a bit much, and there's a club down at ground level, but it's a city, so that's not the hotel's fault. Coffee in the lobby any time you want it, and take advantage of the wine hour from 5-6. Cool! We visited in February, and the only option for climate control in the room is for heat, no cooling option, and our room with the heat turned completely off stayed at around 73 degrees. One of our party is from Alaska, and we live in the Northeast, and we never keep our house at 73 degrees in the winter. Bit too hot to sleep for us and nothing we could do about it, but the hotel offered a fan. But if we needed anything (bath tissue refill, for instance), they brought it right to the room in a jiffy. Very responsive. Nice exercise room downstairs. By the way, super-convenient to the Metro line at Farragut North station.
Hey, The AC was sold out last week during the storm but I had to have a room close to the firm I was remote working for. A co-worker told me about the Quincy and said it was a awesome find. At half the price of the AC, the Quincy was delightful. The rooms have kitchens! Not only are the kitchenettes clean and well appointed, the interiors are brand new. The price was exceptional, and the check in and out was fast and easy. The desk gentleman texted within 20 minutes after I settled in to confirm that the WIFI was working and that I had everything I needed. They don't have a formal restaurant there but a good assortment of convenience foods in the lobby. They have a nice bar that serves bar type food. I will book there again. I think this hotel will pleasantly surprise you.
Wonderful stay. First a BIG shout out to the staff! Everyone and especially the front desk staff were excellent, friendly, professional and -genuinely- happy to see you after a long day of sightseeing. Ephrem in particular was so kind, helpful and was -always- ready to help. Truly excellent gentleman. In the evenings, they offered us wine, chocolates, etc. A nice treat! Moving to the room, we asked for a higher floor, quiet room and they accommodated us which we appreciated. It's a nice large room, with a narrow, but fully functional kitchen and a small bathroom. I think size went towards the kitchen. Great new TV with HDMI inputs which we could plug-in our laptop and watch movies. Good large bed. We had a few small issues with the room which they fixed quickly. 1) Deadbolt didn't lock - was fixed the next morning. 2) Toilet didn't flush well - was improved same day. It might have been a water saving toilet and there was only so much they could do. We didn't quite understand the AC/Heat. It seems locked to either heat or cool options depending on the season and there was one night where having a bit of AC would have helped. But they brought us a fan and this was sufficient. We were never actually sure if it came on. The value for the location was outstanding. You could walk to attractions and there were restaurants within a few blocks. The only reason for not giving an overall 5 stars was the toilet and AC. We would definitely return! Thank you for a great stay.
We stayed here for one night. Everything was great. We were really impressed by the size of the rooms and the kitchenette. The lobby has tea, coffee, lemonade, iced tea, and popcorn. All complimentary. Big shout out to the Ethiopian valet guy who was so friendly and welcoming!
We stayed here for 4 nights and we were pleasantly surprised. It's location is excellent, the room with our kitchenette was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The front staff are excellent, the concierge also keep in touch by text and provide any advice or issues you may have. We would definitely stay again and also the staff and everyone are great with our two kids (4&11).
I recently stayed at The Quincy for ten days and had a truly excellent experience. My room was bright, spacious, and consistently clean throughout my stay. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt inviting and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. Everyone I interacted with was professional and genuinely kind, always ready to assist. I also faced a small issue during my stay, and the team reacted immediately and handled it efficiently, which I really appreciated. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Washington, D.C. With the metro close by and so many attractions, restaurants, and shops within walking distance, it made exploring the city incredibly easy. Overall, I highly recommend The Quincy for anyone visiting D.C. Excellent service, great rooms, and a perfect central location.
