The Quincy, Ascend Hotel Collection receives generally positive reviews, lauded for its excellent location, spacious rooms with kitchenettes, and friendly staff. However, guests have raised concerns about temperature control issues and elevator functionality. While service is often praised, some experiences have highlighted issues with room availability and responsiveness to problems.
Very well located. Super clean!! Hooray for that! Nice little kitchenette in the room that came in handy. Street noise is a bit much, and there's a club down at ground level, but it's a city, so that's not the hotel's fault. Coffee in the lobby any time you want it, and take advantage of the wine hour from 5-6. Cool! We visited in February, and the only option for climate control in the room is for heat, no cooling option, and our room with the heat turned completely off stayed at around 73 degrees. One of our party is from Alaska, and we live in the Northeast, and we never keep our house at 73 degrees in the winter. Bit too hot to sleep for us and nothing we could do about it, but the hotel offered a fan. But if we needed anything (bath tissue refill, for instance), they brought it right to the room in a jiffy. Very responsive. Nice exercise room downstairs. By the way, super-convenient to the Metro line at Farragut North station.
Hey, The AC was sold out last week during the storm but I had to have a room close to the firm I was remote working for. A co-worker told me about the Quincy and said it was a awesome find. At half the price of the AC, the Quincy was delightful. The rooms have kitchens! Not only are the kitchenettes clean and well appointed, the interiors are brand new. The price was exceptional, and the check in and out was fast and easy. The desk gentleman texted within 20 minutes after I settled in to confirm that the WIFI was working and that I had everything I needed. They don't have a formal restaurant there but a good assortment of convenience foods in the lobby. They have a nice bar that serves bar type food. I will book there again. I think this hotel will pleasantly surprise you.
Wonderful stay. First a BIG shout out to the staff! Everyone and especially the front desk staff were excellent, friendly, professional and -genuinely- happy to see you after a long day of sightseeing. Ephrem in particular was so kind, helpful and was -always- ready to help. Truly excellent gentleman. In the evenings, they offered us wine, chocolates, etc. A nice treat! Moving to the room, we asked for a higher floor, quiet room and they accommodated us which we appreciated. It's a nice large room, with a narrow, but fully functional kitchen and a small bathroom. I think size went towards the kitchen. Great new TV with HDMI inputs which we could plug-in our laptop and watch movies. Good large bed. We had a few small issues with the room which they fixed quickly. 1) Deadbolt didn't lock - was fixed the next morning. 2) Toilet didn't flush well - was improved same day. It might have been a water saving toilet and there was only so much they could do. We didn't quite understand the AC/Heat. It seems locked to either heat or cool options depending on the season and there was one night where having a bit of AC would have helped. But they brought us a fan and this was sufficient. We were never actually sure if it came on. The value for the location was outstanding. You could walk to attractions and there were restaurants within a few blocks. The only reason for not giving an overall 5 stars was the toilet and AC. We would definitely return! Thank you for a great stay.
We stayed here for one night. Everything was great. We were really impressed by the size of the rooms and the kitchenette. The lobby has tea, coffee, lemonade, iced tea, and popcorn. All complimentary. Big shout out to the Ethiopian valet guy who was so friendly and welcoming!
We stayed here for 4 nights and we were pleasantly surprised. It's location is excellent, the room with our kitchenette was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The front staff are excellent, the concierge also keep in touch by text and provide any advice or issues you may have. We would definitely stay again and also the staff and everyone are great with our two kids (4&11).
I recently stayed at The Quincy for ten days and had a truly excellent experience. My room was bright, spacious, and consistently clean throughout my stay. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt inviting and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. Everyone I interacted with was professional and genuinely kind, always ready to assist. I also faced a small issue during my stay, and the team reacted immediately and handled it efficiently, which I really appreciated. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Washington, D.C. With the metro close by and so many attractions, restaurants, and shops within walking distance, it made exploring the city incredibly easy. Overall, I highly recommend The Quincy for anyone visiting D.C. Excellent service, great rooms, and a perfect central location.
?????????? **5-Star Review** I have to give special recognition to **Nahama** at the front desk—she absolutely made my stay at The Quincy Ascend Hotel. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with the warmest, most genuine smile, and it honestly set the tone for the entire visit. Nahama has that rare combination of professionalism and true kindness. She immediately made me feel welcome, took the time to answer my questions, and shared incredibly useful local tips—everything from food spots to transportation shortcuts to small details about the area that only someone who truly knows the city would think to mention. Throughout my stay, she checked in to make sure I had everything I needed, and every interaction with her felt sincere and uplifting. It’s clear she loves what she does, and her energy is contagious. People like Nahama turn a good hotel stay into a great one. She’s a true asset to the team, and I’m genuinely grateful for her warmth, knowledge, and exceptional customer service. I’ll definitely be returning—and her hospitality is a big part of the reason why.
Wonderful hotel at a great location. We spent 2 nights here and received what was as expected. Staff were super nice and very helpful. There was a party on our floor and when I called the front desk to ask them if they can do anything about it, the guy was super helpful and the party stopped within minutes. Now, there are small things that need to be improved for the 4 stars to become 5. Mainly, the room we were in was very cold. The thermostat doesn’t go over 68 if you are trying to heat it. On “cold” it goes to 78 if you need, but on “heat” the maximum is 68. That’s a bummer. Second thing is the elevators. Only one works… for a hotel of this size you really need the second one. Other than that, I would definitely recommend The Quincy and would definitely stay again.
I recently traveled to Washington, D.C. for work and had the pleasure of staying for eight days at The Quincy, Ascend Hotel Collection. My experience was simply exceptional! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed with outstanding kindness and professionalism by the entire hotel staff, making my stay truly memorable. I would like to especially highlight the employees Shiv, Leonardo, and Milorad, whose attentiveness, politeness, and dedication went above and beyond expectations. These professionals made me feel at home, providing impeccable service and always demonstrating genuine hospitality. The accommodations were comfortable, the facilities were well maintained, and the hotel’s location was perfect for my trip. Even though I was in the city for work, I could see that this hotel is perfect for any type of guest, whether for business, tourism, or leisure, thanks to its welcoming atmosphere and outstanding service. I highly recommend The Quincy, Ascend Hotel Collection to anyone looking for a high-quality stay. With such a dedicated and attentive team, I will definitely return on future trips!
Spent a few days on a work trip at this property. The staff were all wonderful. Of note, my first room was clean but had an odd odor I couldn't identify. I thought the entire property must stink, but when I reached out to the front desk and maintenance inspected, they assured me something was wrong and quickly got me moved to a new room. Of note: my own delay in requesting a new room was the flaw, the hotel handled everything perfectly once they knew I'd experienced an issue. The second room was perfect, I should have reached out sooner. Great staff, proximity to where I needed to be for work, and easy Metro access via the Farragut West station.
