HighRoad Washington DC offers a comfortable and affordable stay with a focus on convenience and amenities. Guests consistently praise the friendly staff, well-equipped rooms, and access to local attractions. While some rooms have minor drawbacks like street noise, the overall experience is highly rated.
Stayed at the Highroad Annex, 2nd floor room. Easy entry, clean room. Comfy bed. No fridge. There was a kettle and a coffee maker. As a tea drinker, I usually bring my own. I will stay at this place rather than the big "name" hotels in the area just for the tea kettle. And the price is better, too. When I called the main desk, the building a block away, someone answered right away who was professional and helpful. It was mid-week and it was quiet, but I don't know if that would be different when the bars near-by are full. It's a lively neighborhood. Did I mention the tea kettle? 6 stars.
Stayed overnight while road tripping up the east coast. We were able to check in late at night, the staff were incredibly friendly (thank you Jacqui and Vanessa!), the rooms were clean and the bathrooms were well supplied and also very clean (thank you Karla!). All of that for such an amazing price...can't beat it. Not to say that it's "impressive for the money," it's just impressive. I can't comment on location because we drove straight from the hostel to our next destination, so not sure of public transportation available. Aesthetically the surrounding area is very beautiful with a lot of interesting shops/bars/restaurants and plant life.
I couldn't find a reasonably priced hotel for that week in DC so I cautiously went for HighRoad. There was no need to be cautious they booked me an amazing room with a kitchen! Great decoration, the bed was great and the bathroom was spacious. Note that the room was right by the busy street which can be loud until late at night but I don't mind that. It is also 20 min away or so from subway but I walked and it was pretty convenient. Staff were great and responsive too. Loved the location. Glad found this place, it's going to be perfect for regular DC visits.
My experience at Highroad Hotel was unbeatable. I absolutely loved every corner of this place. They offer coffee, tea, water, and ice 24 hours a day, and you can also leave your luggage in lockers before check-in and after check-out, which is perfect if you have flights at inconvenient times. The common areas are very comfortable and offer everything you might need to cook or eat, plus cozy couches to relax, books, and board games. The staff is incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything you might need. The rooms are clean and well equipped. I stayed in a shared room with six women, and the beds were very comfortable. Each bed has its own curtain for privacy, as well as a personal charger and reading light. There is also plenty of storage space in the room, including a large locker for each guest that easily fits a full-size suitcase. The hotel also provides many complimentary items such as shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body lotion, eye masks, earplugs, and more. The location is great as well. It’s very close to bus stops that take you to the National Mall in about 20 minutes, and it’s located on a street full of bars and restaurants, which makes the area feel very lively and active. Overall, an amazing stay that I would absolutely recommend.
Great location! Close to fantastic bars and restaurants and a bustling night life. TV was disappointing, but who cares when you're enjoying the town! The rooms were quant and perfect for couples or travelers. The front desk, Luke was fantastic hospitality and took care of any questions we had. Would stay here again anytime!
