The Arlo Washington DC consistently receives positive reviews, praising its modern design, central location, and friendly, attentive service. Guests highlight the rooftop bar with stunning city views and the overall clean and comfortable atmosphere. While a few recent reviews mention noise levels, the majority emphasize a highly enjoyable and memorable stay.
The location is perfect for walking and biking to museums, botanical garden and the capital building. Chinatown is a few blocks away for nighttime music, food and entertainment. The hotel itself is nicely decorated, modern, safe and clean. The check-in had a few glitches in my reservation but staff quickly resolved the issue. The service was top notch. Jude at the front desk took great care of me and made sure I had everything I needed. The rooftop bar/lounge has a lovely view of the city and the bartender Shawn gave excellent service that really elevated the evenings. I’ll definitely be back.
We had a fantastic stay at Arlo Hotel in Washington, DC—easily a 10/10 experience. The location is perfect, making it easy to get around and explore the city. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and very well maintained, and the facilities were excellent throughout our stay. Service was consistently friendly and attentive, which made a big difference, and the breakfast was a great way to start each day. Everything felt thoughtfully done and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to DC, and we’ll definitely be looking into other Arlo locations for future trips.
One of my all time favorite hotels we've stayed in! Modern decor and a calm oasis after long days of travel. Love the attention to detail and functionality in the rooms; most DC rooms are smaller but their functionality makes up for it. Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Fun rooftop bar with great vibe and views. Great food at the onsite restaurant for breakfast. Saw on the room tv that you can also request additional items for your stay from the front desk, such as an in room yoga mat among other items. Most major hotel chains we've stayed in are all very similar in what they offer and the experience. For us, Arlo was way above! If we go anywhere where they have locations, we will only stay at Arlo from here on out! Highly recommend! I don't write a lot of reviews but this was well worth it!
Excellent rooms. Excellent service. Beautiful hotel. Great location. Very loud music from evening through all night until early morning hours. Sounds like you are trying to rest under a night club. I chose this area because it is supposed to be quiet. It was not. It was more peaceful outside than in my hotel room.
Very modern hotel. Nice gym, lounge areas, rooftop bar with views of DC. Good location, walking distance to Capital One Arena and even the museums area if you don’t mind walking a bit more. Forgot to take photos of the room but it was modern, clean, awesome bathroom tiles. Bit small room but not bad. Even had a nice alarm clock with charging cables (both iphone and usb c). Highly recommend staying here, especially if you are able to get the deal that includes breakfast at their Arrels restaurant, which offers good spanish food
I recently stayed at Arlo Hotel DC, and I can confidently say it exceeded every expectation. From the moment I walked in, the staff made the experience exceptional. Every single team member I encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and taken care of — from seamless check-in to thoughtful recommendations and quick responses to any request. Their energy set the tone for the entire stay. The cleanliness was impeccable. Our room was spotless, fresh, and beautifully maintained. The common areas — lobby, hallways, elevators — were just as pristine. You can tell they take pride in maintaining a high standard of care throughout the entire property. The amenities were also top-tier. The modern design and aesthetic are stunning, yet comfortable. The beds were incredibly cozy, the bathroom finishes felt luxe, and the overall vibe was both sophisticated and relaxing. The hotel spaces are perfect whether you’re traveling for business or leisure. If you’re visiting DC and want a stay that combines style, comfort, and outstanding service, Arlo Hotel DC is absolutely the place. I will definitely be returning — and recommending it to everyone I know!
Just wrapped up the most amazing weekend at Arlo DC, and I’m already planning my return. ? From check-in to check-out, the staff was absolutely impeccable—so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can really feel how much pride they take in creating a great guest experience. The vibe of the hotel is everything: modern, energetic, and effortlessly cool while still feeling comfortable and relaxing. Every space felt intentional and beautifully designed. The restaurant was also a standout—great food, great atmosphere, and service that matched the overall excellence of the hotel. This stay was a 10/10 across the board. If you’re looking for a stay in DC that feels elevated, fun, and memorable, Arlo DC is it. Highly recommend—and I’ll definitely be back. ?
I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel has a wonderfully modern and chic aesthetic - it feels incredibly fresh and well-designed throughout. My room was spotless and maintained to a very high standard by the housekeeping team. The service was top-notch as well; the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. A special mention must go to the breakfast, which was very good. Plenty of quality options to set you up for a day, including good coffee. If you're looking for somewhere stylish, clean, and professional, I couldn't recommend the Arlo enough.
This was my first time staying here, and I was pleasantly surprised and pleased at my choice. The quality of the service, elevated decor and room comfort and amenities, I'd say I got a HUGE value for what I paid. Staff was hospitable, profesional and checked me in promptly. They were able to answer questions and we're available for late evening questions. My room had a nice view to the Capitol, was immaculately clean and the space was delightful. I was within walking distance of the National Mall and the museums, and a great pizza place arouns the corner. I enjoyed pizza and wings just around the block, and there was plenty of paid parking options within a block. I actually used parking app and was able to leave my car right in front of the hotel. I enjoy some time in the roof top lounge area -- this alone is worth the price of admission. What a stunning view. Lots of spaces for meetings or relaxing time and a bar for late night drinks (though I passed). I did my daily 1 mile run in the well equipped and spacious gym. Machines seem brand new and there was a good mix of machines, weights and even free weights. Business office was spacious and printing for work was easy. Elevators require your keyboard, making it a very secure hotel. Ill be bookmarking and preferring this hotel for future visits to the city.
Really nice hotel for the price! Seemed like everything was awesome and worth what we paid for. That was until we checked out. We were leaving the hotel and as a creature of habit I dropped the key in the check out box. Little did I know that the hotel key was the only way out of the parking garage across the street. I returned to the desk 4 MINUTES after dropping the keys in the box and when i explained the story they told me it would be an extra charge for “lost” keys. The key wasn’t lost… I could see the key in the box that the worker could have just grabbed. Had the room number showing and everything. If that wasn’t enough with the fees when we left we got a copy of our summary and on top of our 25 dollar parking was another 35 dollar fee. Listen I know DC is known for fees and pricey parking but an urban fee higher than the parking cost is RIDICULOUS. Especially when I asked the desk at check in how much parking would be and they said “it’s just 25 for the night”. We more than likely won’t return to the hotel just based on our experience, but it is a beautiful place. Staff communication could be a whole lot better tho.
